Kaota's heart aches a little at the sight of another who is crippled. For a moment, she resents the girl -she wouldn't die from her disability- before the non-evil part of her brain punts that thought good and hard.

"I'm Kaotaro Kanemoro. A pleasure to meet you. You are also from Japan, then?"

Kaota began walking slowly towards where she thought the quantum physics class was being taught, trying to ensure Aiko could follow her easily.

Ashley stares at the pad, then at the void gate. She ran her hand across the stone of the gate as she did several years ago for the first time.

A beep is heard behind Ashley, and a large spider bot speaks in the voice of a high-pitched girl.
 "Hey! Heeey! HEEEEEEY!"

Ashley turns around.

The tripedal bot waves a limb at her.
 "Heey, what's your name and why are you here?" it asks. It sounds like Dory from Finding Nemo.

"I'm the mother of the one who owns this gate. Now get Alucard for me."

Kaotaro waits for the girl to follow her before continuing herself.

"Are you new here too, then? I only transferred about a week ago, so...I might be leading us in the wrong direction, but I hope not!"

"Ooooh! You're her! Yeah, the boss spent a lot of time digging his hidey hole and upgrading it so that he could continue his work in private and he even programmed me and came up with that screen thingy you saw in front of the void gate but hes a quiet guy so he sends me out here to greet anyone that comes!

Oh, he's asleep. You wanna' go inside?"
This is one annoying AI.
Aiko smiles.
 "Y-Yes, I just transferred..."
