Thanks to fire regulations the building does have a fire escape in the back, though unless the alarm is disabled first everyone in the building will know if it's used. The building also has plenty of windows to let in light, which can also act as entry points if you don't mind doing a little climbing.

Isaac starts doing a bit of climbing, peaking through various windows trying to determine where Michelson's lab is.

 "Now how do we utilize it?"

"That, I do not know. All I know is that it can be used to guide us to the holy site for the gods. They kept the name and call it Babylon."

Isaac carefully climbs up the side of the building, presumably on a side not facing the main road so as not to get the local police called on him by passer-bys. The first window on the second floor is covered by blinds, enough light passes through them for him to peer into the room. In the dim light he sees a piece of floor covered in smudged chalk-marks, a couple of filing cabinets lining the walls and some non-discript machines humming quietly to themselves. Unless the accountants are dabbling in necromancy, this is probably the place.

 "Is it a teleportation focus?"

[Projeck37]

"Yes it is."
Isaac checks if the window is locked or not.

[PrivateNomad]

 "Okay, give me a minute to draw the teleportation circle. Can I use some of your blood, love?"

[Projeck37]

"I suppose."
Ashley pulls out a small dagger stashed in her boot.

[PrivateNomad]

 "I've studied samples of your blood before.. highly volatile and reactive, but highly infused with void magic. A rare specimen, perfect for drawing teleportation circles," he said before collecting her blood, drawing a magic circle with it and placing the gemstone in the center.
 "This should open a portal to our destination," he said with a nod.
Then, out of curiousity, he tastes a tiny bit of her blood.

Ashley quickly bats away Alucard's hand before he tastes it.
"Do you want to die?"
A portal opens.

[PrivateNomad]

 "I'm a vampire, I'm already dea-"
The portal opens into the ground.
 "There it is."

[Projeck37]

"This would be toxic even to you. It'd eat at your body like termites feast on wood."
Ashley peaks her head in, before fully diving in.

Alucard dives in after her.

The window is definitely locked, or maybe shut with a latch. Either way it won't open from the outside.
