Alucard's sense is hazy at first, but begins to clear as the land around him is mapping itself inside his mind, from the magical residue that he's sensing. Perhaps focusing a bit more...

Alucard continues to focus, inhaling calmly.
 "I can map everything around me..."

"Every person with magic has a 6th sense. This-" Alucard can see Ashley motion around herself with her hand, "-is what it is. Detecting magical residue around oneself. More often than not, this is almost unreliable for most, but with the high intensity of magical residue here it's foolproof."

Alucard hones in to the South, something a bit stronger coming from that direction. 100 meters or so.

Alucard stands this time, still focusing as he moves towards the signature.

As he stands, he loses his focus. Not to say he doesn't know where it's coming from however.

Ashley stands with him, walking right after.

Kaiser proceeds to jump the fence at a point where the guards aren't able to see him.

Alucard now looks around for the gem.

With such a large amount of ground to cover, it doesn't take Kaiser and Isaac long to find a part of the fence which is unguarded. The fence is easy to climb since it's made out of chain-links instead of the more ornate ironwork near the entrance. With no one around to appreciate it, presumably the community decided to save on the money. Once inside, the parasites' tentacles cluster thickly around the pair as one of the few sources of magic still left in the place. Hopefully they won't need to cast any magic while they're here, or the parasites will try to suck them dry of mana. (All spells count as one category higher for the purposes of determining TN/Mana costs. Failing to cast a spell expends half the mana cost of the spell and does not reduce the TN for recasting the spell next turn.)

After wandering down a dirt trail Kaiser and Isaac eventually come to a paved road, lined with sturdy-looking detached houses and plenty of gardens, trees and greenery. It'd be a nice place to live if it wasn't for all of the parasites. The few people wandering about look at Kaiser suspiciously due to his glowing eye, though thankfully nobody seems inclined to call the guards on him just yet. Since currently their only real lead is the name 'Michelson', it'd probably be a good idea for Kaiser to let Isaac do the questioning if it comes to that.

Isaac looks around for a research building or something similar.

Alucard senses the gem directly below him a few inches.

 "I found it, love," Alucard says before gently grasping it, "You already knew where it was, didn't you?"

Isaac and Kaiser wander around the place, looking around for a research building or something similar. Eventually, after wasting a couple hours, they stumble upon a small office building right off of the main street of the community, tucked between a bakery and a hair salon. The plaque on the building declares that it's home to a couple charted accountants, a law firm, chiropractor and a research labratoury belonging to one John Michelson. Hopefully this is the right place, and some other Michelson isn't studying the local badger population in there.
