The lights began to dim again,
”Just about now.” she settled back down ”We got popcorn from your world a few years ago. We have some traders that go out into your world.”
The curtains opened once again and the play resumed, it opened once again with the king sitting upon his throne looking out across his council. There had been reports of attacks within the city and from the details they suspected it was an Ill'Guard who was responsible. The king paused for a moment and then turned to Acietien, he ordered the general to search the city with all of his strength and find where the stone was being hidden. With a smile the general agreed and swore to search the city with all of his strength.
The focus then went back to Lacie, she was drinking and obviously going despairing. Eventually she left and headed back towards her home, it was then she was attacked. It was the Ill'Guard, at first it simply looked like the man it had been but as he drew closer she would notice that something was wrong. The man had lumps over his skin and he smiled wickedly as he drew ever closer, as he headed closer the lumps opened. Long thin white worms came out of them, growing larger as they hit the ground. The corrupted thing moaned in pleasure as the worms began to head quickly towards the warrior.
It was obvious that Lacie was afraid but with her magic she managed to fend off the onslaught, drawn by the sounds of the commotion guards began to appear. The creatures that had spawned from the man rushed towards them as well, a couple died as the worms embedded themselves in their chest and went straight towards their heart. It was a tough battle but eventually the creature was slain and it's offspring died with it. They stood there for a moment shocked but then brought Lacie up to the palace to see the king.
The scene changed back to the throne room, Acietien sat there looking down at Lacie with hatred in his eyes as she talked to the king about what had happened. Again she fingered the general as the one who had stole the stone, the king hesitated for a while but as he realised that someone had probably tried to silence the girl he sent a guard to investigate the general's room and all of his property. Knowing what they would find there the Acietien made his way out with brute force. Injuring the king and many of his guards as he burst out of the room and escaped into the night.
The scene followed after the general as he retrieved the stone and left the city, setting himself up as the ruler on another island that was apparently nearby. He created more Ill'Guard for himself and it was clear he was growing insane as times went by. The former general began talking to the stone and sometimes it would answer him back. The king was injured and bedridden but his son took charge. He made Lacie a new leader in the army and began to gather their forces for a counter-attack upon Acietien.
It was not long before the attack was ready and Lacie was at the helm of her ship, the prince standing beside her as they went towards the island. What was waiting for them on the beach though was not a pleasant sight. Ill'Guard stood at the front, some corruptions visible some not and they led the people who had left with the general. The battle was fierce and many people died on both sides, it was clear that the Ill'Guard were stronger than the average warrior and sometimes it took many deaths to finally take one out.
The scene focused back on Lacie as she charged towards the general, Acietien looked at her with cold fury as they began their battle. It was a close battle, but it was clear that the general was getting the upper hand. They drew closer and closer to the cliff side and the swirling currents of the ocean below, at one moment it looked like the general had won he struck Lacie down with a blast of wind and with a manic grin on his face he brought out the stone. The dark energy struck Lacie and she screamed but she pulled herself back to her feet, the general looked shocked and had no time to react to what happened next.
Lacie stabbed him in the chest, his hands went up to his chest still holding the stone he took a step forwards but then as Lacie barged into him he toppled over backwards still clutching the artefact as he fell into the sea below. The battle was eventually won by the king's forces but it was clear that both sides had lost a lot. Some people using magic searched for the body and the stone but it never was found. They had both been carried away by the current that surrounded the cliffs and by now they could be anywhere in the water.
The scene shifted and they were back in the great hall, Lacie was being commended for her bravery and she was given the position of the new general and also to have a statue of herself built. She gracefully accepted the titles and on an optimistic note for the future the play ended.
