"No- but, you know wh-what I m-mean!"

Kaiser sits down, sulking.

[USEC_OFFICER]

Dalia, being the kind and caring friend that she is, kicks Kaiser when he's down. "C'mon, get up. I'm supposed to be the one who's feeling terrible after all. Besides, I'm just teasing you. I don't mean it."

Kaiser sighs, and stands up, mumbling.

"I guess... can I ask why you're still feeling terrible?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

Dalia frowns, "The same reasons I've been feeling terrible before. Ossomodus or whatever he's called. Before you ask I still don't want to talk about it. Just... I dunno. I feel like I want to, but I don't you know? There's stuff and it's stupid..."

[Akroma]

Walpurga checks the basement.

"I... can relate. If you want to talk about it, I'm ready to listen, but whether you tell me or anyone else is your choice to make."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Uhuh. I know that, you don't have to remind me," Dalia grumbles. "I'm not an idiot like you. So what are we doing now? Still waiting around?"

"I guess. Not too keen for this ballroom business."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Neither am I. But I don't think it'll be all that bad. It sounds like we can just walk in, spend a couple of minutes there, and then walk out. Or something, it probably won't be that simple." After several moments of thought she asks, "Do you think that they won't let us go if we're sick or something? I mean, they don't need all of us there, right? So we technically don't have to show up..."

"That is... actually a good idea. Should we show up, make a bit of conversation, and then leave? Because I am very much so down for that."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"I would be too. Unless they stuff me into a fancy dress or something. Then I wouldn't be as happy. Those things are pretty uncomfortable you know. Still, I suppose that it's better than sticking around some formal party and trying to talk to everybody. I dunno. We'll have to play it by ear."

[smurfingtonthethird]

"Well, we could just go now and tell them we were busy doing... I dunno, something. Suits and crystals do not mix."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"And what about me? You aren't going to ditch me, are you?"

"You could always come with me..."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Only if they let me, which I kinda doubt. You don't need another person to help you with your crystal thing after all. So... Yeah. I don't think I could."
