[Sanure]

Sen blinks as well then looks annoyed,"Oh? Now that is even more boring. And here I was hoping to get a good story out of this. Let me ask you this then. How long has 'Salim' been a symbol to your people? How many years?"

[Kansa]

"Centuries, she was our god before we constructed this place."

[Sanure]

"God you say? How idealistic. Now tell me, How trustworthy are your people's record keepers? I bet, that somewhere down the lines, human nature came into play, and your morals were changed."

[Kansa]

"Trustworthy, even if they weren't Salim would tell us if they had changed any of her morals."

[Sanure]

"Salim is still alive? Oh, I would love to meet her. I do wonder how mortals attain longevity." Sen snickers.

[Kansa]

Titus looked slightly confused,
"She's not mortal"

[Sanure]

"Not now, of course. But everything is mortal at one point or another. Here, let me see your book. I shall gleam all the knowledge I need from it." Sen holds out her hand expecting the book.

[Kansa]

Titus frowned slightly and handed over the book.

[Sanure]

Sen take the book and begins to flip though the pages with amazing speed. Within a few moments she is finished memorizing the book and hands it back to Titus.

[Kansa]

Reading through at the incredible speed she did Sen would learn about the contracted. They were individuals who were chosen by Salim and sent an angel to watch over them and protect them. they would not only protect the physical health of their host but also their mental health. Their ability to use violence was surprisingly tamed however, forbidden to take action unless the danger threatened the contracted themselves and they would place the safety of their protected above all else. Most of the people who had formed the contracts were either deeply wounded, deeply traumatised or had plans to improve the future of their fellow men, the way the contracted were formed though was unusual. Rather than any prayer from the person forming the contract the prayers had to be from someone else, from a person close to them and prayed solely of their own accord. Even then Salim would only answer in the most desperate of needs.

She learned the story of many contracted through the history of this dimension, lots ended happily but quite a few ended in tragedy. The last contracted that was mentioned in the book was around fifty years ago. The book did not mention the origins of Salim herself however but there are numerous accounts of her speaking to both the contracted and those around them.

Titus frown deepened as he took back the book
"That was fast"

[Sanure]

"I'm not exactly a mortal either. I'd assume that Salim is less of a god and more of a Seraphim, if what I read was right. Tsk. I despise angels." Sen's eyes have turned from their normal green to a dull red.

[Kansa]

"Why do you assume that?"

[Sanure]

"Because a god would not send his children to watch over a mortal unless they were absolutely required. Never because one lowly human prayed to them for protection of a loved one. I pity you. You are forced into either dying, or taking a contract. How loathsome." Sen shakes her head, her eyes back to their green color, "I must beg your forgiveness. I began to ramble about depressing matters. I am typically not like this. It must be this damnable angelic scent in the air. It's practically the only fragrance in this city. Well, I suppose a human wouldn't be able to smell it but a demon sure as hell could." Sen laughs.

[Kansa]

Titus was still frowning,
"We are not forced." he let out a small sigh "I suppose it's fine"

[Sanure]

"Now why are you so glum? Is it because I was bad mouthing your religion? You shouldn't take that as to meaning anything. I am a demon after all. It's part of my job. Oh I know. How about I reward you for listening to one such as myself? I know a great many things, and I am willing to impart some of my knowledge to you. How about it? I could teach you a new skill, or even a new hobby. Do you like music? I could make you a master at playing a guitar or even a piano."
