"It's basically a pocket dimension."

Battle!

The Cat, seeing Hakim protecting Winry, leaps at Isaac [7] v [9], only to have Isaac dodge to the right. A magical trail follows behind the cat, [2] which Isaac fails to foresee fast enough, dealing 3 damage!

Winry... [17] successfully creates another 110 stat sentry for -8 mana!

Isaac [22] -3 mana roots in the medium spike, spreading the projections around inside of the cat for 14 damage!

Hakim [13] v [irr] successfully hits the cat with his rocket arm attack, dealing 2 damage!

Turret 1 fires a volley of bullets at the cat, [20] v [irr.] hitting hit dead on for 24 damage, killing it!

Titus with Elliot's help began to distribute the translators, instructing everyone to insert them into one of their ears.

Dalia gives Kaiser a weird look as she puts on her translator.


Hakim keeps a look-out as Winry checks for loot. "Does anybody know what that creature was?" he asks while they wait.

"If I'm not mistaken, that was a Night Shifter... Basically a shapeshifter that doesn't understand that it is a shapeshifter."

Winry finds some black pelt.

Titus frowned as he watched Kaiser eat it, in the end though he simply sighed.
"Now that that's done, let me explain to you exactly what the cover story is. You are going to be coming here on a diplomatic mission for yourselves, you are quite well known in our world  and there has been conversation of reaching out to you before. You will be there to study our world and learn, maybe in the end deciding if you wish to stay there. This means you will have access to most of the city but also have several responsibilities, the main one is that in a couple of days you will have to attend a ball."

"A ball? Oh boy."
"That sounds stupid. Should we keep going?"
Winry packs up her turrets.

[USEC_OFFICER]

"A ball? Like the fancy kind where we have to dress up and junk? Do we have to? Please tell me it's something else," Dalia says.


Hakim agrees with Winry, but is too polite to say anything about that in front of Isaac, so he keeps his opinions to himself. "I think we should keep going. We haven't  seen any kobolds yet, which is the reason why we are here. So we need to keep moving before something else interrupts us."

Isaac shrugs.
"Yeah."
As the group moved on, they drew closer to the three sources of light. The closer they got, it was apparent that they were large brazier,  which not only lit the Kobold village, but also a body that laid burned and drained of all color at the base of a brazier.

Winry scans the area for any heartbeats.

"Yes it is and you have to go. I can get you clothes or anything else you need."
