Mercury Menace
The Silver Shaper morphs into RES from its MAG.

As the ball strikes, it seems to split the mercury form in two, as if the monster just duplicated into a weaker version that is slowly growing like its other form.

The Silver Shaper 2 lobs a mercury magic ball at Tobias!
[3 SKILL] VS [2-1 SPEED] He is hit and takes 6 damage! Tobias is knocked back against the pedestal, sending the spear against the ground as he knocks it down... the spear strikes the ground and bounces, itself seeming to duplicate into another spear that lands forward and disappears. A spear that seems to duplicate when it ricochets.

Tobias speeds forward on his knees as he exhausts some gas from the Maneuver Gear, grabbing the real spear. He pulls out a black orb with his free hand.
"Time to restock..."
He crushes it in his hands, sending both himself, and the spear, safely into Shadowlands because fuck this RNG.
((Mag rolls really fuck with my characters that have high mag. It's kinda fucked up.))

((At least it shows off that perks are OP as fuck even low-powered creatures can be deadly to lone and unprepared PCs. Success?

EDIT: If you're having problems with TNs, then you probably should throw in a few more disadvantages to lower the difficulty. Or stick with casting the spells a little longer. Or counteract them with delicious, delicious perks. Or offer sacrifices to the RNG if you're doing the above and it still isn't working.))

((Definitely a run of bad luck there. Nothing you can do about bad luck besides placate the RNG with appropriate prayers and sacrifices, I'm afraid. Or build your character to eliminate dice rolls entirely, but that's something you can only do ahead of time.))
