Several days pass, with the unmoving sun it's hard to tell, but nevertheless the group is informed of each days passing. As the days pass, any wounded individuals would find their injuries sealed and healed by some unknown source. And with that, Tobias stands at the gate, idly chatting with Victor who seems to be coming along on the departure.

In the distance, a buzzing sound is heard, but resembles more of the sound of motor. Barti would recognize this as an iron crow.

"We can do it without Bartimaeus, this should be no problem."

"Sadly not, but..."
Tobias has a slightly larger than normal crossbow wheeled over.
"This is the most I could do. In this amount of time."
((much smaller than actual ballista.))

"Rules are rules, Barti. You burned an artifact that was quite valuable to us."

"Sorry, for some reason beyond my knowledge I wasn't able to sense that it was magic. I memorized it, if that helps. Why, I could produce a mundane copy right now."

That still doesn't tell me how the crow and guard automatically knew he was void.))

((The guard never mentioned he was void...? And the crow is its own thing. Basically a knowledge keeper who sees beyond the physical appearances of beings.
Also, the distant feeling was in the original description of the Shadowlands. Public knowledge in this thread. Read, please.))
