The winter chill deepens, to the point that frost begins forming along the edges of Ashley's blades. A faint tinkling, combined with her instinct, allows her to leap out of the way just as a falling ice branch collides with the air where she used to be. The limb shatters like glass against the ground, spraying Alucard, as a howling echo makes it's way through the frozen glade. The wind seems to draw the shattered ice up, light reflecting through the shards as they pull themselves into a humanoid shape, albeit one with insect-like wings, half-again as tall as Ashley, to display the image of a young girl with pointed ears and wings, in homespun clothing. It flickers to show an image of the same girl, half-killed by cold, before changing again to a skeleton with ice-encased bones, before flickering back to the girl, and flickering between images of her while she was still happy, only occasionally shifting to show a more morbid image, such as covered in welts and lashmarks, or shivering ominously.
The wind's howling takes on a sound like words as it seems to face both Ashley and Alucard at once, despite the pair being on opposite side's of the monstrosity.
Wai...mi...wai...mi...wai... it croons.
A keening fills the air, and the abomination puts it's 'hands' to it's 'ears' as the girl does the same, grimacing in pain, before a terrible shriek emanates from the creature's center.
"WHYYYYYYYY!?!"
A gale picks up now, filled with broken ice and shards of what may well be frozen glass, given it's edges, as it lumbers(if something made of wind and ice can be said to lumber) towards Alucard.
