Icarus holds her hand over the kitchen table, casting a shadow.

"Nonsense, it is very obviously the same color as the table, just slightly darker."

Too dark. It's very hard to notice, even when in direct comparison, but that shadow is maybe like 0.1 lumens darker than the shadows around it.

Tobias stares.
"That's... Darker than most shadows, Icarus. Mind you, you're talking to someone who is known as the Shadow Prince and has learned my magic all of my life... But I need to know who is coming. I must prepare my guide."

[Akroma]

Icarus stares back at a moment, not quite sure how to answer that.

"Eh, just call us when you have a portal ready."

"And be quick. The laser toster and toastamus prime still needs to be packed."

A rather large sphere appears in Tobias's hand, anyone would recognize it as an identical sphere as the one he used to bring Ester to the wedding. Everyone sees their own image of a small boy made of shadows, except Alice and Icarus find themselves seeing the same shadow, who walks up to their respective individuals. The group's vision goes black for a moment, and a cold breeze comes into contact with them.

Their vision reappears, with white all around on the ground, a mix of snow and pink petals falling slowly from overhead. A path curves ahead, seemingly made of gold. A sense of peacefulness sweeps over the group. It was odd... The snow didn't seem cold, nor did it seem warm.

[Akroma]

"Snow and cherry petals. This is certainly much less gloomy than I expected it to be."

[Projeck37]

"The name doesn't fit it, I'm aware. I wouldn't recommend straying too far, by the way. Stay with the guide and we should be fine."

Kyle tries eating the snow.

[Akroma]

"There is a road, what do we need a guide for?"

It's certainly made of frozen water. Huzzah?

"Without one, horrid hallucinations will occur, and confusion as well. You'll typically end up at a Morr to be feasted on by corrupted shadows... It's not fun, from what I hear."

"What a cozy plane of existance. But I got something ready for that if they try and get us."

And then they teleport.
"Oh boy, a nonconsential teleport. What is this place?"

Kyle sticks his face in the snow.

"I fear that your plasma won't be as powerful here."
Tobias turns to the girl.
"This is the Shadowlands. Who.are you?"
