Having absolutely no idea what Bartimaeus gets up to, Hakim nods slowly and tries to shift his legs over to give the girl room. "Just an arm, but it can be replaced," he says, not noticing the humour, "And you are?"

Tobias jolts awake, sitting upright in his moment of what seems like terror. He stands and slowly exits his room. He's met by Saber, who carries him to the kitchen. Everyone would hear a whisper next to them, sounding echoy and distant.
Kitchen... now...

Dalia stops whatever the heck she's doing to look at Isaac and asks, "Uh... Did you hear that too?"

"Yeah... I did... Help me up."
Isaac slowly sits up, with a grunt, extending his arms out.

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Are you sure? You're still kinda hurt. Plus I'm sure that it's nothing that needs our attention right now. If it was important then someone else would eventually get us all together anyways," Dalia protests. But she helps him up anyways, because there's no point in delaying things it's obvious that Isaac is going whether she wants to or not. "Do you need help walking too or can you handle that?"

"Just a little support."
Isaac puts his arm around Dalia for support.

[USEC_OFFICER]

Predictably Dalia blushes at the contact and feeling of Isaac's arm around her, but she doesn't say anything about it since they have more important things to worry about besides hormones. She tries to support him as best as she can as they begin to walk towards the kitchen, though it doesn't work out well as she has trouble keeping in step with him. "I wish we had a cane for you to lean on instead of me. You're pretty heavy," she grumbles good-naturely.

"Oh, shut up. I'm only 122 pounds."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"And I'm two thirds of that," she says, lying through her teeth, "It's still more than I'm used to lugging around. Besides, that was supposed to be a kind of a joke. I wasn't complaining."

[Projeck37]

"There's no way you're only 80 pounds."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Well maybe I'm closer to a hundred then... It's been a while since I last weighed myself. Plus why the heck would I use pounds if I'm French?"

[Projeck37]

Isaac shrugs slightly as they enter the kitchen. He sits in a chair near Tobias, who is seated at the end of the table.

Kyle walks into the kitchen.
"It's pretty presumptuous to seat yourself at the head of another person's table."

[USEC_OFFICER]

Dalia sits next to Isaac, obviously. "So... What's so great about the kitchen. Also, is that really a lion?" she asks, pointing to Saber and looking pretty unconcerned for someone who just spotted a giant lion in the room.

"That's Saber. He's a sweetheart..."
Tobias turns to Kyle.
"Simply to address something dire, friend... Besides, it's simply a seat... and it was closest to the door. But that's not the point."
