"Yes. And zat probably explains what we saw in zere, zis huge magic circle. It is a soul catcher. Zey are harvesting souls on a grand scale. Souls going out, but perhaps also going in. Zat would mean no souls reach afterlife, nobody gets reincarnated, and babies born in zis time might even be soul-less. Zis is a terrifying thought. It messes with zee balance of the cosmos on a grand scale."

Hilda nods slowly.
