Ashley sheathes her katana, and unsummons her Mordite blade. She follows.

Alucard blinks at it and then wordlessly obliges.

The stag turns and heads into the forest, saying nothing more. It was telepathy; they were familiar with enough supernatural occurrences that it wasn't a mind-bogglingly new concept or anything, but it was still an odd sensation compared to previous telepaths. Meh.

As they go deeper into an apparently endless forest, time swallowed by the unending darkness and the oppressive atmosphere(which probably affected Ashley somewhat more than Alucard, though Alucard probably showed more of the anxiety it might cause, however little of that there was, simply due to the fact that the Void didn't exactly give one time to become accustomed to tight spaces), the trees become more tightly spaced, and bushes that sprout thorns which look more like icicles block the path to either side. Things which can only barely be described as creatures watch the pair pass, and a giant goat-headed minotaur with a hand for a tongue and a chest that seemed made more of magic and shadow than flesh and bone stalked the party for almost half an hour before getting bored and leaving, appearing to giggle silently the entire time.

Finally, the stag stopped, in a clearing. The cold was nearly overpowering here, as the temperature had been dropping steadily the entire way, though staying near the stag eased it's bite somewhat. It did not turn to the pair as it spoke.

Why?

It was not immediately apparent what the Stag was referring to, but deduction and instinct said the most likely thing it was curious about was the reason for the depression in muffin-tin prices lately. Wait, no, sorry, it said that the most likely thing was the reason for two outsiders, very clearly not of this realm, by appearance and weapon if nothing else, were there.

"We seek the Twilight Sigil."

Alucard nods.
 "Yes... we need it. We need it to complete the Nemesis Gate."

And that?

This time the stag does turn around to look at them, Alucard in particular, eyes seeming to examine his soul.

Which was possible. Magic was a thing, after all, and who knew what the fuck this stag was capable of.

It seems fairly obvious after a moment's thought that it is asking what the Nemesis Gate is.

Train Chase

Belkelel stares at the summoning rifts for a moment, then into space, then stares at the front of the train. She seems to be doing something with the trains controles, but sadly only Winry, maybe Kyle, would have the insight here into what is coming.

Dalia curses [16] vs [11] the 03! It looks all flimsy now!

Bartimaeus melds into the fire surrounding him, turning into flame! And he uses his newfound powers of ignition tooooo...move 15 tiles along the train!

The 02 looks at Bartimaeus, befuddled...

"Now this is just cheating!"

The 02 withdraws the flamethrower to reveal a resonance blade, running after Bartimaeus, thrusting it into his back! [13] vs [4], it appears hitting anything solid in Bartimaeus flamey body is pretty difficult...

The 03 reloads. Time for the heavy ammo.

The 04 jumps over the train, engaging Stella in combat with boosted strength! [irr] vs [15], Stella is cut, taking [14+1-1] vs [8+4] no damage, the blade just scrapping over her scales, sending sparks across!

The 05 stands still. Meanwhile, the PIXEL-01 goes limp!

The 07 climbs back ontp the train, evading mortal danger.

"It is on now."

Icarus re-activates the 05. Moments later, a purple ball of light emerges from her chest and falls into her hands. Hildas core. However, now exposed to creation without any measures to keep it stable, it begins to rapidly decay and shrink in size, damaging Icarus hands alongside. Startled for a moment, Icarus tosses that thing alone the train, towards Walpurga!

Winry needs not search long, seeing the whole factory is still around her. Then again, none of that is scrap metal, it is in pristine condition.

Walpurga sees Icarus tossing her Hildas core.

"Oh nein don't throw zat at me I am in a spider we- wait.."

Walpurga telekineticaly grabs the core, and tosses it toward Stella! However doing so reduces the cores size even more, creation-magic grabbing at it, burning Walpurgas mana!

Sen is washed over be the fundamental fear of death, drowning her in indecisiveness!

Hilda drops down, hoping her iron hide will be able to take the train! The trains shakes dangerously as the wheels run over Hilda, who takes [33] vs [13] no damage in the process. That was dangerous!

Tobias, flees combat, or whatever he intended to do. Summon incoming counter is 1! The shadows will appear next turn (plox gib stats)

Alice, being the only really productive combatant right now, gets the healing on! [9] or she would, if the TN wasn't so high! But hey, good healing takes time.

Isaac, really not wanting another grenade being launched, spikes the 03 [auto], [22+22+2 (lol)] vs [irr] into robot-hell! The 03 explodes upon death and kills every - nah just kidding

Hakim, with all targets dead, is out of reach to attack anyone else. Insert new action?


Stella, tries to get in the way of the 02 to save Bartimaeus, but is simply too slow to do so. Insert new action? Hildas core is being tossed at her, also she is being attacked by the 04.


The train convoy continues moving through the jungle, yet another train joing it, coming through a portal with copious amounts of water, looking alomst like a submarine itself.

Sen shakes off the fear of death realizing that death is never the end. She dons the neckless she has on her and uses it to teleport to the third car from the front to get ready to catch Hilda with her paper. Being in flight helps.
