Tobias offers Hilda a dance to catch up.

Hilda smiles and accepts the dance.

Walpurga ignores Bartimaeus and just sips her wine

"So how are things going for you, Hilda darling?"

After they broke apart Alice moved to her father and danced with him next.

"Fine. I don't really know how to dance though..." True to her word Dalia is a pretty poor dancer. She isn't uncoordinated at least, but doesn't really know what to do with her body most of the time. It also doesn't help that somehow it has gotten into her mind that dancing involves lots of spinning around. At least she's having fun, though that part is somewhat debatable as she has an intense look of concentration on her face the entire time.


Ester is a little bit jealous that Tobias decided to give Hilda his first dance. Just a little bit.

Isaac is dancing rather simple, not putting forth too much effort.
"I had to dance with this real fat 8 year old girl when I was about 9, at my mom's wedding to my step-father... Needless to say, she was a real terrible dancer. But for dances like this, you should just keep it simple."
Isaac smiles and leads.

 "Lovely. You?"
Bartimaeus does the same.

"Uhuh. And? What's that supposed to mean? I told you I don't know how to dance," Dalia says. Unfortunately Dalia isn't much of a follower, since she always subconsciously tries to go off and do her own thing instead of letting Isaac lead. Plus she keeps on looking so intense and focused instead of relaxed and having fun.

((Should have said that then. Simply because it isn't obvious.))

"It means relax, have fun, be silly if you need to."
"Quite well."

"I'm trying to. What do you think I'm doing?"

Hilda nods and resumes dancing.
Bartimaeus looks back at Walpurga.
"Well this 'void devil' is actually helping you humans defeat the void, so maybe you should reconsider your stance towards me."

"Eh, you haven't been much of a help yet. Who knows, you may still be a mole."

"Me, a mole? Surely thou jest."

"Who knows."
