((Short version: Icarus and Alice are getting married, so wedding reception. We'll pretend the pair of them have been on a hunting trip for some time.))

"So, this wedding is at a... spring?"

Aedan shows up at the Ryan household with the robed harpy.
"Hey, aren't you to supposed to be at the wedding?"

[Sanure]

"I'm a demon Aedan. You really think it's a good idea to let my demonic aura be present when a soul bonding is being done? That's just asking for something to go wrong. I'll probably show up after the ceremony is finished. Besides, I can't exactly Teleport right now. That bastard Osmodius messed with my spell tomes so I can't even use them. I can't even absorb any books right now either." Sen sounds annoyed when she says the last part.

Dalia takes the teasing pretty well. Or at least better than Kaiser did. "It was okay. Except for the part where it wasn't a date, we didn't do anything and we didn't go anywhere. The letter interupted us on route and so we headed here instead. So there, does that answer your question?" she says, sticking her tongue out at him as she finishes.


Hakim pauses at the sight of a giant paper hand, but quickly shrugs off his surprise and shakes it firmly. The appearance of Aedan and the harpy also makes him pauze, but Sen obviously knows the pair so he keeps silent and lets them talk.

"Well, I think Kyle would be disappointed about it. And I'm sure you could make arrangements to leave the wedding early."
Aedan looks over to the harpy and tilts his head towards Hakim. The harpy nods and takes on a look of concentration as she holds her arms out towards Hakim. It takes a few seconds but a letter addressed to him floats out of her sleeve.

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Uh... Thank you?" Hakim says, uncertain about what this is all about. He turns it over in his hands a couple times, inspecting the letter, before shrugging and finally opening it to read the message inside.

"Yeah, whatever. So, how much are we betting this wedding gets gatecrashed?"

You motherfucker. You think that you're going to get away with what you did to Annie that easily? One day, you won't have your cronies around you to protect you. When that day comes, all of my contacts in the league of liches will capture you so I can have the pleasure of killing you over and over and over again. For everyday I go through the pain of having to watch her die I will make you feel that a thousand times over. I will make you HURT for that. Oh, don't worry about your little colleagues. I'll be sure to give them similar accommodations.

Dalia gives Kaiser a look, "That isn't the kind of thing you should joke about, you know. It's in poor taste, even if it's likely to happen. Besides, the wedding is not until tomorrow. So we have all day to relax and junk until then. Hopefully nobody comes in to crash that. I've never been to a hotsprings before."


Hakim carefully reads the note again, to make sure that he hasn't missed anything important, and then calmly tears the letter into several pieces, and gets up to properly recycle them.

Kaiser flinches at the accursed look.

"Ah, sorry. So, what is there to do around here, other than soak in hot water?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"I dunno. Me and Isaac just got here ourselves. I have no idea what to do here either. Maybe there'll be something in our rooms, when we get there that is." She hefts her bag up as evidence, showing off that she's just as clueless as he is.

[Sanure]

"Don't worry Aedan, I'll explain to Kyle afterwards about why I didn't show up. Besides, I see the whole soul fusing a travesty of sorts. It certainly shouldn't be done unless extremely necessary.... I'm certain even you dislike the idea of two souls being fused together for an enternity..." The paper hand that Hakim shook quickly flutters into sheets of paper and float back to sen before being deposited back into their containers.

"Oh, I actually think that it's perfectly fine if done by a professional. An ameture could really fuck up and actually, you know, combine the two souls and create an abomination of magic... Which god is doing this again?"
The paper doesn't tear. It's actually pretty leathery.

[Sanure]

"Apparently it's a human Soul Mage." Sen is reading her book still, well, more getting frustrated that she can't just absorb it like normal. Eventually she closes the book in frustration and puts it back into her satchel, "I swear that when I get my magic tomes fixed I am going to find and murder that bastard of a demon."
