((err....even with the overdrive failing, doesn't mean Icarus just stands there like a saltpillar doing nothing. She can still use her legs and arms just fine do do her thing unboosted, especialy if the gem conveniently flies closer. Same for Isaac, just because Projeck wrote *rune* instead of *gem*, doesn#t mean its not clear to everyone what he meant. Skipping his action on that kinda formality is simply not okay. You basicaly skipped 2/3rds of the turn.))

((okay, if my post in the OOC did not make it clear, I just worked 14 hours on the most stressful day I had in years, and really am not in the mood for that kind of shit right now. But because I am actually trying to not start any more arguements, I will just say this once. Read the above 5 posts again, carefully, think about what is happening, how you are handling the situation, and now wonder just how very much I am urged to argue now after the last post you just made.. Then please proceed to edit the above turn with the course of action you deem the best, and we shall proceed))

Icarus having none of that shit, lifts/cuts through/kindly asks the door that dropped to not allow any escape and gets out of here. Clearly the golem is strong enough to protect the McGuffin, it's way easier to just kill the LA guys. sighs, and tries again, this time boosting her strength by 50% for good measure. Might at least try.

We should probably regroup; we need to rescue Alice before Icarus realizes she's been captured, and razes a quarter of the planet in the process of saving her.

You already sent her a text saying that Alice was kidnapped. Just so you know.

Yes, but we still haven't done anything. At all. I'm pretty sure no one would complain if we raze every Free Arcana base in order to find Alice; Icarus will anyways.

Eh, I'm fine with that. She isn't allowed to know I have Elysia here. Also, I need someone to go bury a corpse for me.

Half an hour later, Sen texts Kiaser the locations that Elysia listed earlier in the day.

Kaiser starts looking through them.

Boss Battle

Icarus overdrives [-4 MP] and charges at the shock crystal! She strikes it and slices straight through it. The crystal brightly glows a cyan color before it explodes in a sparkling array of energy which seems to make contact with Icarus's blade and herself. Icarus notices that her HF blade is now coursing with magical energy, and that her chassis seems to have been repaired slightly.
Icarus has received the 'Ether Shock' enchantment. It has 2 charges. She has been healed for 5 HP.

Isaac conjures a large spike [-4 MP] and sends it flying at the crystal to the north! The spike drills into the crystal, cracking it slightly before it explodes in the same manner the other one did. Isaac feels his body repair itself, and he feels brief magic power course through his body.
Isaac has received the 'Ether Shock' spell. It has 2 charges. He has been healed for 5 HP.
The golem unsheathes his sword from his back, letting it drag across the stone ground as it scratches the surface, creating sparks which briefly light up the dim room. The lines within his armor glow as he charges forward, swinging his sword upwards. The crystal to the north west behind the golem hovers behind and glows with a grey light. Icarus feels magical energy dawn upon her and she suddenly finds herself teleported right in the direction of the golem's Sigil Blade, unprepared for its ruthless strength.
The sword connects with Icarus's side, charging a massive blow of blue energy that deals 12 damage! A large hole is blown into her chassis before the force of the attack throws Icarus head-first into the wall, forming a large crack that tremors throughout the entire room.

Isaac can tell that the blade feeds directly off of the power of the Arcane Sigil, and seems to deal damage of raw magic energy. He can also tell that the crystal that just teleported Icarus is a blink crystal - one that can instantly teleport its target anywhere in the room.
