"I don't really have any decor, and the last cooking device I operated was a pot over a fire, but the room is welcome. Thank you."

 "Very different, actually. There's currently no way at all to enter it. Not even a planar shift can - as if it's completely disconnected from existence. I have indirect evidence of its existence, but no way to actually send anything there for probing.
 But.. I should probably be worrying about the matters at hand," Alucard says before moving the books from his desk.
