The Gatekeeper swings jumps, and swings her scythe in a wide arc down upon the afrit.
Ashley telestrikes again.

Sen teleports herself and Slicer away from battle. Once the two are safe she proceeds to restrain Slicer by way of Paper coated in her blood.

"Oh. That sound terrible, actually... She is going to be okay, right? Or alright for now, I guess..."

"If we take c-care of her, y-yeah."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Okay. So, um... Did you ever tell me how you met Ms. Cyborg? If so, I... um... _{kinda wasn't paying attention.}"

Kaiser sighs.

"Her name is Kaotaro, and I first met her from back before I... Lost my memory."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Oh. Right. How did you manage to find her after all of these years? And... What do you remember of her back then?"

[smurfingtonthethird]

"She recognised me when I went off buying cook...ing supplies. I'm pretty sure I rescued her from a lab."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Cook... ing supplies? Okay..." Dalia stretches out the space between cook and ing to show that she doesn't quite believe that part of his story. "You don't remember anything else about her? Just the bit about saving her from a lab?"

Kaiser glances upwards, almost too quickly to notice.

"N-not really, n-no..."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Okay. Well... Have you asked her about it yet?"

"Yeah... s-she didn't say much other t-than that I s-saved her."

Slicer is teleported.

The Gatekeeper leaps forward and swings her scythe down upon the afrit!
[3 SKILL] VS [2 SPEED] She hits for 24 damage!

Ashley teleports behind and strikes it!
[15 SKILL] VS [10 SPEED] He is embargoed by -5!

Sen teleports her and Slicer from battle. He sighs.

A ball of energy appears in the Afrit's hand. It grows larger and larger until it's the size of the void gate itself, disintegrating the ground until it forms a barren crater. And then he unleashes it upon the gatekeeper.
[14] VS [10] She is hit, and the pure force of the blow causes her to fly through dozens of burning trees as an enormous crater is formed, a colossal explosion of carnage rending the forest around the void gate to ashes. She lands roughly against a rockface as shockwaves shoot back into the stone, cracking it as her body takes the blow.
The Gatekeeper is dealt 78 damage, and the Afrit is dealt 15 damage.

Smoke is filling the entire forest, making it very difficult to see. The Gatekeeper can make out the glowing orange eyes of the Afrit heading towards her.

"How pathetic, the gatekeeper of the void brought down just like that... but do not worry," he says as the flames raging around him begin to die down, "I shall leave you be if you accept your defeat with honor. You have my word."

Ashley casts Chaos Star Barrage, synchronizing her cast with her daughter.
Gatekeeper throws her scythe, and it makes contact with the void gate, shattering. A moment later, the doors swing open, and a giant beam of unstable void energy is fired from within, instantly striking the Afrit straight on, dealing a massive affinity bonus. -17 health, -10 mana. Gatekeeper is unconscious.

Sen smiles at Slicer and begins to explain what is about to happen. She may be teasing him into showing fear.

The colossal beam shoots through the air, ripping through it as the giant beam rips through the Afrit's chest.
   "NOOO..!" he lets out a piercing scream as his head tilts back, beams of light emitting from his eyes and mouth. Eventually his entire body spontaneously explodes into a huge fireball that can be seen for miles, almost taking Ashley out with it.

The forest is utterly decimated as burnt wood smolders and smoke plumes. Ashley notices that a golden, glowing orange sphere around the size of her fist, is floating where the Afrit died.
   "W-w-w-what...!?"
