"Then find your fucking answer and don't get pissed when you can't do what every emotionally stable adult does and answer it."

"Oh yeah? Philosophers can't even prove that anyone besides themselves is not just a simulation. An actual proof is hard. What matters to me is that I have friends and family who will believe me without actually demanding proof - because such a thing can not be proven. I can list every emotion I ever had, and anyone who cared to prove me wrong can question any one of them. All I can say is that my code never included anything like love, and here I am, with Alice. Am I faking that?"

"Then if you're so sure about that why can you let someone make you question the rest of your emotions that easily?"

"No, I am not questioning my own emotions, I am offended of someone who knew me for so long questioning them. By doing so, she is dehumanizing me, degrading me. Like when lil nazi here waltzes about telling an african that he is not as intelligent as a white man or something, but on a whole new level. She regards me as a toaster - something I worked hard for coming away from. To her, my entire life is just a game. And that is not okay."

Kyle sighs and leans in close to Icarus' ear thing.
"Do you know what she's had to do just to survive."

"Well she did. She said my emotions are a simulation, an algorithm, so basicaly I am just a programm that chooses proceduraly generated responces to certain stimuli. In short, I am no more of a person than a bunch of polygons in a video-game. A machine just like a fridge, with a purpose, useful, but ultimately just a thing."

Icarus is in the PIXEL-01, so it's a perfectly normal looking ear.
