[Kansa]

Alice followed Dalia to Kaiser's bedside,
"I... I don't know. I'll still try though" she began her studying of Kaiser, first she checked to make sure he still had a pulse then she moved onto other vital signs. She spoke to Dalia trying to fill the silence "Did you get hurt during the battle?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"No. I was in the Nomad the entire time, safe and sound while everyone else was out fighting," she mumbles, with a touch of bitterness.

[Kansa]

Alice looked up as she heard the bitterness,
"I... You shouldn't feel bad about that"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"I know that. But I still feel bad about it. It doesn't feel like I'm doing anything while everyone else is out fighting and getting hurt."

[Kansa]

Alice let out a small sigh,
"What is your magic? I... I don't think I ever asked"

[USEC_OFFICER]

Dalia is silent for a couple moments, and then she sighs and quickly mumbles, "Nothing useful. I just curse people. Even when I don't want to."

[Kansa]

"Oh." Alice paused for a moment "That could be useful"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Not really. I can barely tell whether it works or not half the time."

[Kansa]

"What does the curse do?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

It takes Dalia a couple seconds before she starts to speak, not caring if she makes sense or not. But instead unburdening herself of some of her worries and fears. And even a little bit of sadness too. "It makes you unlucky, whatever that is supposed to mean. I don't really know, and I don't think that the guys who tested me really knew either. But I do know that while I'm around annoying stuff happens. Like, milk will spoil before its expiry date. Or your shoelaces will become undone and maybe you'll trip maybe you won't. Or a part of your car might mysteriously break without warning, and if you're lucky it won't be in the middle of the highway. That sort of stuff. Stuff you can't blame on anybody, but always seems to happen when I'm around."

[Kansa]

Alice looked up as Dalia spoke, her full attention was now on her.
"I'm sorry, we... we might be able to find a way to control it somehow."

[USEC_OFFICER]

Dalia still refuses to meet Alice's eyes as she mumbles,"I doubt it. The only thing that seems to stop is an anti-magic field."

[Kansa]

"Don't give up." Alice's gaze drifted downwards slightly "I... I know how it feels"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Yeah...? How?"

[Kansa]

Alice let out a long sigh,
"Do you know how me and Icarus met?"
