((Quite frankly, if the PC enters through that means in the middle of a battlefield, their possible death is the fault of the scenario. I see no reason why any PC who would rather shoot first at a possible hostile should refrain from doing so. I see no obligation to be treat this any differently than if no indication was given as to their nature as a PC.))

((We'll see how this plays out. With the debuff in effect, a good enough roll or a second attacker can certainly get them below half. Then, depending on whether or not they attack and who they attack, Mary may shoot which would likely be enough to kill.))
