Buffeted by the Smokescreen, the girl falls over and cracks her head on the sidewalk, her wound already beginning to seal up.

Hearing the commotion, Mary glances at the pursuit from afar, reaching into her bag, she takes out slim, featureless staff of ivory coloration, wrapped by bandages of similar coloration. "Release the limits please."
"Yay! Murder time! ^o^ Limits released, commencing sequence activation."

The bandages disengage and begin fusing together before, entwining with the staff in a serpentine manner fashion.

Sable formations rend themselves upon the grounds beneath Mary in the form of a perfect circle. Three horizontal lines appear it, the lengthiest one passing through the center, soon it is intersected at that point by a single horizontal line. Erupting with luminous starlight, as if reality itself was bleeding from the inscribed wounds, the lines shift and merge, forming a bold equilateral cross as the rest of the runes expand outwards near-explosively. Text inscribes itself within the circumference of the circle whilst an octogram forms within.

Though maintaining their form and opacity, her clothes rapidly metamorphose into scintillating masses of arcane energy, if anyone present were to have the right equipment, they would notice that incoming light was forming photonic molecules as they pass through. Out of the glowing substance, white fragments explode outwards before coming to an abrupt halt, rapidly shifting in a manner reminiscent of the rotation of a tesseract. Expanding, they form various pieces of a dress imbued with rudimentary (and with their current sparsity, merely aesthetic) components of medieval armor; a ghostly white with pale red highlights.

Collapsing back onto their owner, the pieces integrate into one another, absorbing the remnants of Mary's casual clothes in the process. During the resultant burst of luminance, her hair bleaches into a semi transparent white before glowing in a soft pink, not unlike colored light flowing through optical fiber strands. The final outfit consists of a simple dress and skirt, a pair of lengthy bridal gauntlets modified with the components of a few not-as-bridal gauntlets, a pair of long socks ending in matching sabatons and finally, a minimalistic ribbon choker.

Mary attempts to intercept the assassins.

Kaotaro's suit changes further as she continues to walk, the fins or spines on her back growing more numerous as a small circular device grows out from the middle of her back, the innermost rings glowing a faint light blue, pleasant contrast to the red trim on the rest of her suit. Silver bulges appear across the suit in key areas, and thrusters grow on legs, back, shoulders and even the side of her chest. She appears in no way feminine now; but neither is she masculine. She is a person in a suit, no more. To her eye, more changes are taking place as the suit continues to grow outward, size increasing slowly as she strides forward. Multiple spectrums are becoming visible to her; not simply representations in the visible spectrum overlaid on top of her suit, but her vision actively expands, even as additional sensory devices begin to come online and stream information to her, while trajectory analyzers note allies and enemies alike, compensating for movement, wind, gravity, even the Coriolis effect. Yet still no weapons have made themselves evident. She continues to walk, the thrusters unused, unneeded, for the moment.

Nevlyn's jaw drops as he watches Mary's transformation.

Not to be out done he starts running towards the assassin's with his sword drawn, he abruptly leaps into the air leaving a totem where he was and pounces at an assassin midair.

Icarus, after asking where the hell the guys went, decides not to immediatly chase after the assassins into such an obvious trap.

Instead, she circles the park, to get at the assassins from the back. She hides in a proper ambush position, ready to sneak up on the assassins once their focus is on the others. She scans the area for unusual stuff with her scanners in the meantime.

Alice rushed back down the stairs clutching her machete tightly, her face was still quite pale. As she headed outside she took a quick moment to check on everyone else, as she realised nobody was seriously injured yet. She turned back to the cloud of smoke and pointed her machete into it, her hand was shaking slightly as she sent a random lightning bolt into it.

Winry fires her particle cannon at one of the fleeing assassins [5] VS [1], hitting one right in the ass [18+3] VS [9], dealing 13 damage!

Bartimaeus telewhacks the same assassin [6] VS [7] but he  ducks and rolls out of the attack, before he continues running.

Baktieral lies on the road!

Icarus circles around the park, scanning for activity. Besides dumb and dumber continuing to run into the foliage, the friend-dummies in tow, she notices a single satchel of explosive located on a clifftop, apparently a very easily defended position, where the friend-dummies are likely to be corralled towards.

Garrett buffs Stella's speed by 4, (-2 mana).

Dalia pouts, waiting for Kaiser to finish his business!

Kaotaro pursues the fleeing assassins, making some ground.

Mary also makes some ground, closing in on the assasins.

Hilda fires into the park [10] VS 2, scoring a hit on a guard, who takes [2 VS 1-2] 2 damage!

Tobias equips his 3D gear!

Stella transforms into her full form, making ground (air?) on the assassins!

Alice misses, not having a target!

Kaiser restarts the Nomad, which shoots up into the air!

"Now we're c-cooking."

He also [4] (-4 mana) creates a Gauss Rifle.

Nevlyn [2] VS [9] is far too slow to catch up to the assassins, although he does drop his totem.

The group that chased after the assassins are routed, and the other assasins direct a barrage of energy beams on the group, hitting Bartimaeus, Kaotaro, Mary, Stella, and Nevlyn, dealing (-6 mana, -6 mana, -6 mana, -6 mana, -6 mana) [15+6], [11+6], [9+6], [9+6], [2+6] VS [8], [2+2], [16], [2+3], [5]; dealing 13, 13, 0, 10, and 7 damage respectively!

The barrage hasn't stopped, either, and will continue next round! Both a small clifftop and a big wooden playground are close enough to provide decent cover (-6 and -4 to skill for attackers, respectively).

Alucard [4] fails to create his giant explosion!
