such a body would not be able to contain Icarus, as Icarus is reliant on technology. A USB-Drive would work, but certainly not a human body.

Also, Dalia should totaly take a shadow hybrid perk!

Eh... I don't really see the point of a shadow hybrid perk. I guess it could be built up to something else with additional perks, but that'll take forever and I doubt that it'll sync well with her role as debuffer. She wants the ability to be useful outside of boss fights more magic and mana to lay on those debuffs, not more protection against stuff she shouldn't be fighting against. Well, she could use some more protection. But I don't think it's worth spending a perk on. Right now I'm thinking of taking something like...

Quote
Capable of Siphoning Mana: Whenever someone casts a non-neligable spell, Dalia gains +1 mana.

Which is to say that whenever someone spends mana on an ability, Dalia gains 1 mana due to her increasingly symbiotic relationship with the parasite on her back, which will hopefully lead to her gaining the ability to make basic magic attacks sometime in the future. It doesn't increase the cost of casting spells around her by 1, in case anyone is confused by that.

Or at least that's the plan. Is the perk acceptable at least, or does everybody really want a shadow hybrid that badly? If you do then just ask Tobias to make one with Ester. Or poke a few holes in their condoms.

What if it had a pacemaker?:P

And what about people like Kaiser or Kaotaro, or more typical cyborgs?

I think it'd be really nice to make Icarus fleshy for a while, bring her down to earth on the matter.

well, assuming the pacemakers chip is advanced enough, she could now make some pace. But still not move the body. And if for some reason she could controle the body from the pacemaker, she would now be invincible, unless the pacemaker is damaged,

That's completely wrong. She would be really vulnerable if someone cut off the body's limbs. Or took off the head. Or reduced it to mush...

doesnt affect the pacemaker even a bit. then again the point is moot, Icarus can not controle humans by inhabiting a pacemaker. She would have to inhabit an entire robotic skelleton, terminator style

in the sense that she cannot bleed to death, yeah, she'd be invulnerable.

But she'd be invulnerable in the same way a tank is 'invulnerable' unless you kill the crew. Saw off the turret, blow up the treads, you can still damage the tank.

Pluuuus, it's actually up to Smurf since the players here have repeatedly shown they cannot be responsible with final arbitration on their character's mechanics. Any time 'invincible' or 'always works' or 'cannot miss' or blahblahblah shows up, it's a bad sign.

Also if a body was reduced to mush I think the pacemaker would be too...

She would technically be invulnerable if undamaged, although she can't do much from inside a pacemaker. Except maintain the person's heart, I guess.

The fundamental flaw you're making is thinking that the conscience/soul/whatever is attached to the body, which it isn't as Icarus repeatedly demonstrates. Icarus, with enough technology on hand, could be uploaded into a biological or cybernetic mainframe, effectively making her a fleshy. Living things are just complex machines that run on ATP and can self-replicate.

If you do want to turn Icarus into a (semi)-fleshy, chuck us a PM. Once I've finally ended this MK business, I might switch the order of a few things around.

What?

The soul doesn't have shit to do with the body, as far as I can tell, in this setting

I was just talking about how 'invulnerable' in the sense Akroma was using it meant more or less the same thing as 'doesn't feel pain' and 'doesn't bleed out'. She could still have the thing she was using to faff about in damaged.

I do so love that phrase. Faff about. Is a very nice phrase.

I have quite a few plots ideas, actually, one of which involves a Deadpool-esque villain. In the crazy sense, not the goofy one. None of them are particularly well developed, all of which I blame on Kilojoule Proton and my mortal enemy: My own nose.

I was mainly referring to the stuff about stuffing Icarus inside a human, but meh

?

Why?

If some dude's insane and thinks everything is just a simulation and has stupid powerful magic that allows him to literally hack reality and he thinks he's Neo(he's not, he's just a douche), why would the potato storm attack/
