Nah, just building up infrastructure, protecting their economy, several other things that I won't bother to list. Basically put: Just making themselves better.

I am saying from a RPG perspective. It is boring for the GM and the players when you can just speed dial your private army to nuke whatever problem you have.

Fully implementing magic into the armed forces, and with MPRA's help (who they're in debt to), were fully able to crack down on those problems.

Then it's a good thing that world spanning plots don't happen a lot. They're more boring when it's world spanning anyways.

and I must stress, armies need organisation. Even IRIS wont have their anti-void corps on 24-hour stand-by, fully armer and armored and ready to go on a moments notice without planning. Jets need to be fueled and ammo need to be loaded, nobody usualy leaves jets fully fueled and armed in their hangar. Also authorities need to be informed, else the military would go very much ballistic if they suddenly think damnit, there is heavily armed troops doing shit, what is this, is this more LA? A new 9/11? (I am sure the day the LA attacked globaly is a day held in similar infamy). So shortly after the LA incident, the world is pretty tense and on high alert to suddenly teleporting military units.

Oh. So MPRA is kinda sorta in charge of the Middle East then? I mean, with so many nations in debt to them... They ought to have a lot of pull there.

Oh, they do. They're kind of like... the [whatever the conglomerate of nations is in Europe that I can't remember.], in a sense. They basically puppet the governments to a degree, but the organization is controlled by a council with a representative from each country, and 8 MPRA representatives. They carry on decisions of where to send funding, and all the like.

I do want to try and finish the Faery plot up(aka move on with it at all, since Christmas made me distracted and I have to go soon today too >.>), if only to allow myself to move on with plot stuff, but like I said, Christmas stuff.

New games like Terraria, Endless Legend, and Endless Space don't help with the 'not-getting-distracted' bits, either.
