So wait, what's all this about Marcus being under threat from something and teachers being concerned about it? Is it secret plot, is he teh choesn oen, is it just details about his backstory that the divination teacher is freaking out about? I know nothing about the guy other than he's the typical stuttering shy person who inexplicably turns into a murderous motherfucker when certain topics are mentioned and that he does anime-sounding incantations to do various powers, which I can't help but imagine him doing a dance to. Is there something I missed, or...?

Just backstory matters, Marcus killed a god and now other divine entities are pissed. Presumably it's like waking up hungover with a tattoo next to a dead hooker. Except with a gauntlet instead of a tattoo and a god rather than a hooker. Pythius is considering whether to nip the matter in the bud with the swift elimination of the possible threat to make an example of them, or just to sic Ghrislaine on them and use those murder privileges as an incentive to persuade her to be more cooperative.
