If you want to know what I'm talking about, Just look at Kaiser. Made of a material that Can not exist due to lore. Pure Caesite cannot exist due to ALL OF CREATION, lore wise, Being the Bane of Void. Kaiser himself is able to make a fucking Jet out of Nano mush that is limitless and he is able to absorb any kind of metal? That's OP. An attack that can deal up to 400 damage? I've seen other characters do more than that.

I admit, Kaiser needs to be nerf-gunned like a crazy motherfucker, which was the reason why I was going to kill him off in the Murder Night plot.

But I'm standing my ground on the 400 damage thing. Too cheap an ability.

I'f I hurl a large cylinder with a length of say 30 meters of spaced out paper which act as sharpened steel at a person. Do you expect them to take a minimal amount of damage or a shitton? Both Logic and Fantasy logic says they take a shitton of damage.


Her is my ground, I will make the attack be usable one time during combat. It can only hit a single person. It deals the same amount of damage, but it is dodge-able. It has a maximum paper limit of 1 paper case. It also will have a higher TN at 12 while still being a major spell. The paper used in the attack is rendered unusable until the end of combat. The damage is physical in nature and deals non-magical damage. The attack is still paper so is stopped by fire, water, or anything that makes it anything other than dry paper. Also, If the attack fails to cast, the TN remains the same.

I'd prefer Emp's version:

The attack is autohit. There is a fixed success rate. If it fails, it deals no damage. That maintains' Sanure's argument without triggering Smurf's fears as it is independent of accuracy and evasion. Though in my opinion, the more worrying bit about the attack is that GM might have to simulate 100 dice rolls ))

But if you won't agree to that... fine. The attack can stay.

Or to get really meta: keep it the same but it has gains random properties due to the GM's frustration/boredom from rolling 100 dice

well i kinda think sen, that logically fire so hot it burns white should do more damage than it does, do you see me complaining?, one shots kinda ruin the fun for everyone that is not the oneshotter, but if its non repeatable that's better, and complained withdrawn

There are other options, like having it scale to the enemy's statbase. So effectively, it doesn't just absolutely shred weaker enemies but still packs its punch against stronger enemies?

actually that's cool, 0.5% of thier maxhp per % paper used, even up to 80% at 100% I don't think would be too op with the difficulty of hitting

That fight was done in Stella and garrett's favor. Sen had armor made of paper soaked in demon's blood, which is naturally heat resistant, not apply even though it had been stated to be in effect. Sen went down way to quick even though she had plenty of health and damage reduction to allow her to last a few more turns.

Your not the only one. I also had a death in my family. Honestly, I think we should just table the matter for now and pick it up at a later date when we both have cooled off. I'm going to take a break for the next few days. I'm going to retcon Sen's attack to something more non-instakill. Probably something along the lines of an attack damage debuff. I dunno...

I think that was more of more of a general point than just being focused on that case.

That works. Gives everyone chances to think of and test compromises.

Or switch the attack to something from Thunder Leylines. I mean it wouldn't be as controversial as Paper Dragon plus it was established she had it, just forgotten about in the character sheet.

I went ahead and removed all of the useless argument's that I posted. After I've had a bit to cool off, we can actually begin to nerf the attack in a way that makes everyone happy. I apologize for anything I said in those posts. They were unhelpful.
