Depends on what the start of its existence is defined as.

Description	-	A pareidolic image with a vague resemblance to that of a humanoid figure, formed out of the outline of nearby objects, light and shadows. Though the exact figure and what form it vary, it does not disappear when viewed from a different angle and seems to move in a manner not too different to that of a human being. When it speaks, if it may be called that, ambient noise seems to coalesce into coherent sentences.
Backstory	-	A proper invasion does not simply happen. A proper invasion may be opportunistic, but not spontaneous. A proper invasion may be fast, but not without preparation. A proper invasion, can, with the right contacts, be predicted. The invasion that commenced the Human-Layar war was a proper invasion. Hence, it was, in certain realms of the twilight, one that was predicted years ago. A war driven by resource shortages may be considered an inevitability, presuming of course that no new developments halt the imminent shortages. For a race such as the Layar, one that actively cultivated a warrior culture, war was, of course, the most likely option. Earth, a planet with the necessary resources, a lack of public knowledge on magic and no exposure to alien species let alone an alliance was thus a blatantly obvious target. Perhaps the Layar would win with such an advantage. Or perhaps the Humans had something up their sleeves. It mattered not. What mattered was, there was potential for gain. Commercial gain. There was an undercapitalised resource, specifically, the Muramasa blades. Archaic weapons of little functional relevance to this war, many of which have had their locations lost to the trade fluctuations of time. There were parties willing to assist in this venture. Parties that were willing to contribute simply to gather data. To prove, or disprove a hypothesis. Consequently, there were agreements. Promises of future transaction. Of relevant data being provided in return for services rendered. A test subject was now all that was required. Something expendable, yet willing. Preferably something that would rather accept even the most unfavorable of consequences than their current state. Preferably something that the assets would have trouble corrupting. The ideal subject was of course, lingering misery. The guilt of countless soldiers. The terror of countless civilians. The despair of countless people. Vestiges of long-resolved wars over long-resolved matters. Not even sentient, just suffering masses of agony. They were all gathered, consolidated and granted transcendence from their state. The result was a soul, an amnesic soul, but a soul nonetheless. Five years. It took five years to teach the newly formed being all it needed to know. By then the war had already ended, nevertheless, the market it created remained. Thus it was deployed. It was free. Free from the terrible truths that its components were tormented by. Free from the monitoring and data collection. Free to start anew, with it's skills, instincts and weapon. Not that it needed to even use the latter. Just keeping it was enough to test it. Assuming all goes well, such weapons could potentially be mass produced, the methods patented and marketed as a means to remove less desirable qualities of certain weapons, a gain to be made.

Perks

Warforged Instinct	-	Can instinctively wield and use unfamiliar weapons to a reasonably proficient though not necessarily skilled degree. Masters weapons and combat styles more quickly but still requires a significant amount of time to do so.
Weapon Cooling	-	MP instead represents the heat of a weapon. At 0, the weapon is overheating and cannot be used until MP reaches full again. Every two turns, a quantity of MP equal to MAG is regained.

Equipment

Muramasa .50 Caliber Machine Gun	-	Was formerly one of the legendary blades forged by Muramasa, it is now in the form of an ultramodern, magically enhanced (in terms of durability, low maintenance, highly stable enchantment, low weight and other features to make it more infantry-portable) variant of a Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun. It's blade edge possesses an incredible sharpness, not that it actually has any blade edges, or blades for that matter. Once drawn, it cannot return to it's scabbard without drawing blood first, not that this means much; it's scabbard was used in the construction of it's current form, so it's never technically drawn. Plus machine guns generally don't have scabbards in the first place. Its bloodlust, like all Muramasa blades, is due to it housing a Fate Aspect. They are mere symptoms of a simple lifeform, amoral and less than even animalistic, incapable of reason or guile let alone consciously using its own power. +5 Physical Damage Enables the following Special Attacks: Suppressive Fire: Halves the damage roll of an attack but debuffs the target's SPD and SKL for that turn. Uses 2 MP. Covering Fire: Halves the damage roll of an attack, debuffs the SKL of enemies attempting to attack the covered character for that turn. Uses 2 MP. Snipe: An attack that always hits last in a turn, prevents the user from dodging to allow a long-range attack with a bonus to STR and SKL. Area Denial: Turn an attack into an AOE. Uses 4 MP. Pragmatic Mercy: Automatically activates when an enemy would normally be shot and killed in melee range. The enemy is instead knocked unconscious via a bludgeoning attack.
Eldritch Conduit	-	A catalyst in the form of a speech-recorder that may call upon eldritch power with unnerving efficiency. The drawback being, the eldritch power is then used to do precisely fuck-all. Apparently it speaks and provides it's user with the Mk 211 Mod 0s that it uses, though that claim is unsubstantiated and quite questionable at best.

Now that I think about it Northsdale really needs to be somewhat close to the outback as Kyle's family is within walking distance and was stated to live in the outback.

And meh.... i tired.

Infrastructure isn't too good in the outback because not as many people live there, seriously, seeing as the Ryan household is practically a mansion if I remember correctly and that there are shopping centers, large buildings, major hospitals and train stations nearby, I would think it's in the East Coast. In fact, I would recommend it been somewhere in Queensland specifically seeing as of the three players who live in Australia, two of them live there.

I recall that during my bomb plot last version, it was established that the area had a relatively high population density and a CBD that included larger buildings and numerous construction projects.

Maybe Northsdale is actually more a dimension than a town but no one can really prove it so they just call it a town even though the town is more like a portal to the dimension itself.

I'm pretty sure the teleporters would be able to prove it if that was the case. Also, if that was the case, magic would have been discovered far earlier because there would be a floating dimensional rift in the middle of the East Coast.

So you don't trust the people who live in Australia to tell you that an area with a lot of infrastructure a decent amount of people, plenty of large buildings along with dedicated suburbs is not going to be near the area where there wouldn't be many people and therefore large buildings or significant infrastructure?

Determine the amount of fill that would be required to level out the hole in Q4. You will need to specify key parameters and variables; then synthesise appropriate procedures and strategies to generate solutions. Test a variety of methods in order to develop an appreciation of complexities of the problem. 

Justify your approach and discuss the overall validity of strategies used, including Simpson’s Rule, to approximate volume.  Your mathematical argument should include any diagrams and calculations relevant to this section.

Note: In presenting your solution to this question, include an introduction, along with detailed outlines of your synthesised method(s), an evaluation of the validity of your methods via associated strengths and limitations.  Then conclude by refining solutions and making decisions based on their reasonableness to justifying the most suitable outcome.

Simpson's rule is a forumla for calculating area, and so now I'm stumped as how to calculate volume with it.

Angel was in a car crash. Her family was taken to hospital. There aren't that many trained personnel let alone medical facilities in the outback.

The characters go to school and university, there are no universities in the outback and not that many schools either.

People don't build pseudo-mansions in the outback.

Also, the outback is not that close to the capital of Queensland.

Allow me to refute your two arguments:
-Kyle's Family: People who live in the outback can send their children to a boarding school. So it is entirely possible that his family was int he outback whilst he was in a suburb.
-Kyle and Conny's child: Magic. It was a magical baby that was delivered through magic and appeared as an orb of light initially.
Smurf: Perhaps you could use it in conjunction with Volumes by Slicing? That's just a guess though since I don't know the context.

Not in Australia. Most of the damn continent is arid and it's a damn big place. The original settlers stuck near the coast and all the infrastructure is near the coast. It is simply far easier to have cities near the coast than in the middle of an arid, dry desert.

It doesn't work in Australia, as the coast is cheaper, more hospitable, and there's actually a living to be made. Aside from mining towns, the Outback is pretty barren.

The majority of the players have origins/story stuff which would only make sense on the east coast of Australia, and since Griffith is situated in Brisbane, Northdale would probably be not too far away.


I have no formula, the hole is pretty irregular in depth. I've got a table of depth measurements and the area of the surface of the hole.

What given in Question 4? I'm personally thinking that perhaps Simpson's Rule could be used if in conjunction with the Slicing method of finding volumes. Though it would only be exact if it's parabolic, otherwise it's just an estimate.

It's a very simple question, simply calculating the area of the very surface of an irregular hole using Simpson's rule. I have tables of depth measurements, but no formulae.
