Search Term: Keloid

Here are the first two Wall Street Construct units I have been writing up. The main idea behind them is to have pre-packaged, pre-characterized, pre-approved mooks available for usage as either allied or hostile NPCs. They're mindless, obedient and mass produced. Note however, that attempting to modify their equipment will void their warranty and will likely trigger their failsafes.

Since they are purchased, just about any organization with enough funds to spare can field them.

Stats are given with each unit since it isn't meta-ing if there is already plenty of combat data on these that may be gleaned from various sources. Also because they are capable of being an actual threat due to their +10 single-use weapons.

Yeah, that one seems like the type that would field a few.

Tbh I think it would make sense for all essence-entities to just use one ESSENCE stat.

Tbh I'd like to avoid sub-rules and extra stats for certain characters

It's a very simple rule -- health and mana just use one stat, and it uses less stats.

Then those wallstreet constructs fatten the rules up, since they're meant to be mass produced.

It kinda makes sense though if you think about. In the case of void entities - they are in a dimension that isn't there own, completely alien. Creation rejects their magic and essence but it is still there. Whenever they use magic, they use their essence up.

I never said they'd be easy to dispose of :P Especially not when they're designed to retreat and rapidly regain Essence before returning, wearing down people over time.

Since they do have their Objectives and Thresholds set by their user along with the data they've been given, you could depower them if you wished to by giving them bad intel, thus making it more likely for situations to exit the boundaries what they can handle, resulting in them doing strange things. Generally deploying them to assault an area makes it more likely for them to encounter such issues than for them to fight in an area controlled by their allies.

Or have their user set their Withdrawal Threshold to low so that they start retreating too late. Or set their Re-engage Threshold to be lower than their Withdrawal Threshold and have them start hitting logic errors and attempt to run back and forth into combat.

Or have them deployed improperly so that rather than being constructed out of nearby cement and asphalt, they end up being constructed out of water, or sand, or dirt, or wood. Though you could also strengthen them if you ensured that the nearby substances are quite durable.

I was originally going to represent it as them having only HP and no MP, using HP to power all their spells. I only implemented ESS since I was worried people would complain about balancing.
