How large is the void exactly? Infinite?

I would recommend that it be enormous, but less than infinity. Otherwise, with infinite worlds accessible, probability dictates that there would be infinite worlds that are alike. Which means that the Sultanes would just be able to harvest the infinite duplicates of the first twelve worlds, after all, they know they can harvest them easily, so why take the risk of venturing into a thirteenth?

Barti can proclaim it's beauty all he wants, after all, he originates from it. Ashley may as well due to being assimilated partially by it; it would be pointless to revive someone as an entity that finds it's own ability abhorrent.

Barti finds beauty in the change aspect of the void--constant unrest from its denizens, constant flow of energy, shapeshifting, speed, you name it. Nevertheless he finds creation interesting as well, finding humans to change in just the same way--he enjoyed watching civilizations rise and fall, and perhaps even played a role in it.

Alucard actually doesn't enjoy the void as much as Bartimaeus. He's interested in the mystery of it all--the unknown that hides within its depths. Of course he finds beauty in the entire cosmos, but became greedy for power as he studied souls.

It would be hilarious if one of the sultanes got taken down by something like a common street gang and everyone finds it and is all confused.

That wouldn't be too surprising. They are vulnerable to Creation. They are invading a realm comprised almost entirely out of Creation occupied by creatures created out of Creation. If whatever measures that allows them to persist fails, I suspect that even neutrinos could rend them apart.
