Name: Sif and Ulf Stonehearth

Age: 18 and 28

Description: Despite the misleading name at the top, the two aren't married. Sif is adopted and Ulf is her companion. Ulf is the one who leads, having been a leader in the army on his own planet. Sif is one of the monster people, a direwolf according to... pretty much anyone who knows her. Ulf is the only one who gets away with not referring to her correct species. Sif stands at six feet and two inches tall and her legs up to her mid-thigh and her arms up to her elbows are covered in gray and black fur, like what she has on her head, and her ears, and her tail. Her eyes are a piercing red that could strip the white off marble if she glares hard enough. Somehow Ulf is even taller, he stands at six feet and six inches tall, his body tanned like Sif's. His eyes are a cold blue, like the ice of his homeland. He's muscled, extremely so, even compared to his muscular companion. It must be from hefting around that sword that's the size of his friend. They already know all the jokes about doggy style, you're just going to embarrass your self if you try.

hey, looks like the mag damage percentages on spells in the OP have been changed yet again, starting with already a rather large +40% on small acts already.

how come? didn't we want to nerf magic? why is it not starting to scale at 20% anymore?

Err... Yeah, why does it start at +40%? That's a very large increase in magic ability for such a small amount of mana. Especially for the stronger spell casters with their large globs of magic. At the very least it should start at 20% and go up by 20% each time.

_{Also I just realized that Sen, a 4000+ year old demon specializing in magic, is less magical than 2 teenagers. Not combined, but individually they're just slightly better than her at magic. It's a bit silly but understandable given the system.}

EDIT: Also the summoning rules need to be made harder. A TN of 9 and 8 mana for a 100 stat creature seems a bit overpowered to me. Of course area attacks would help with that, but still. You're summoning the equivalent of another PC into battle for only 8 mana, and not to mention any special abilities the summon might have.

thats what you get when you insist that your character is a super ancient demon who knows all sorts of magics and mysteries, but it then turns out you still have to stick to the rules of the game. Thats why I very much disliked all the god-mongering in the last game, where Elf used gods like pokemons, and Rag simply played the creator of the universe, with somewhat not-that-well-thought-out explanations as to why this is not gamebreaking, and that it makes total sense that they are just as strong as everyone else.


On that note however, compared to regular humans, our characters are also crazy strong. Might be a thing of this magical cycle, that magic is distributed very unevenly, and some people end up crazy gifted

Or it could simply be that magic is OP regardless of who has it. Though I wouldn't read too much into the stats. A regular human has... what, 5~8 in all of them? And Dalia, a skinny girl of 17, has a strength of 10 which means that she could armwrestle men twice her age and win most of the time. I think that our characters are crazy strong mostly because they're PCs as opposed to any other specific reason. It's not an uncommon occurrence in RPGs after all. Level 1 heroes are just generally better than level 1 civilians.
