Figuring out how an ability works so you can work on countermeasures is one of the main fun parts of combat that go beyond the pure stat-grind (the other being shouting cool attack names loudly).

If the abilities main parameter is "it works whenever the hell i want it to", like with osmodeus "mind" controle, thats no fun. That is basicaly a sign that sais "no, you must grind. Against something with much bigger stats than you"

That being said, she is just slicing off lots of rock around the entrance, considering the length of her blade, that is hardly enough for a proper collapse. Depending on the size of the hole though, it is more than enough to hit everything in the hole and squish it to death

edit: Also naturaly occuring lightning being predictable, or needing a whole second to come down from the sky, or someone starring in melancholy at the void gate actually noticing that there is lightning occuring a mile or two above her and reacting in time to it are all bullshit.

It is just very easy to resist. His aura however is a works at all times kind of deal, but the effects are so neglible you would probably just get irritated at best if you have a high enough RES stat. Normal people with a 5 in the stat hehe tough~

Anyways, Black mass is a TN 9 and imbues all ally attacks with the Dark attribute. It also negates half Dark damage due to the ally now having Dark attribute. Also, the +5 MAG also means magic cast by the ally has Dark Attribute.

Sen will probably cast Witch hunt on the pair to make them even less powerful. Sound good?
