well, the average human has stats form about 40-50.

Dogs may be technically stronger and faster, but also keep in mind they are way less coordinated than a human. I mean, dogs charge and bite, but I've never seen a dog *dodge* anything, or actually *aim* or attack anything in anything other than a straight motion.


So I'd put a normal dog at about 30 in stats, maybe even lower, higher for purposefully trained fight dogs

On the other hand, if they're trained, they're pretty damn fast, and, well...how much have you seen trained attack dogs attacking someone? They go for the throat, and while I haven't seen them either, I can be fairly sure, to some degree, that they can be trained to duck aside someone's fist or something(besides which, it's hard to hit something moving 40 mph within 30 feet of you in an unpredictable manner). Less coordinated is bullshit; they don't have thumbs, and they don't have intelligence. That's it. And they can't use magic. So for a normal dog, sure, maybe 30 works, for combat purposes; dogs aren't going to be instinctively great at fighting, a lot of domestic ones would rather hide if their master wasn't in danger. But for an attack dog? They'll take you down. If you're also trained, you'll have higher stats, and maybe be able to wrestle it or get it to where it can't bite you. And it would depend on the breed, too.

But leaving all that aside, kj; whatever is needed to make the fight interesting, if you don't want to run it freeform.
