Ashley casts Chaos Star Barrage.

Ashley creates a bubble that freezes time within it, while keeping herself able to move inside. She strikes the beast, and with each attack, her movement speed increases with each swing. -20 mana, causing 10 strikes (auto hit, just roll normally to figure debuffs) to the beast, afterwards, the bubble dissipates, dealing damage (for a Big magic act with void affinity boost assuming it's of Creation.)

I'd think it's less stopping time and more a case of moving at absurd speeds. Effectively saturating an area with void magic so that Ashley 'skims' along void with her weapon in creation to exploit the difference in time between the realms and the fact that the blade won't break from that kind of trauma. Sort of like a shark, if it's fin was usable as a weapon and if time moves far faster underwater than above water.

Mmmmm...well, I have to set the precedent for how that ability works in the future, and I'm thinking yer gonna have to make a TN roll to pull that off.

That's pretty damn powerful, after all, if done with any sort of damaging weapon; the Embargo katana is bad enough.

Though it won't make it incapable of damaging you guys. Heheheh.

Eh, I'll probably just end up rolling 3d4-2 for how many times she hits it anyway, seems fair enough to me. More reliable than a d10, less over the top than ten auto-hits.

I think Projeck might mean time becomes viscous, though. Or something. I don't know, it has to d with time magic which is always ridiculous or mind-screw in one way or another, and it has to do with The Void, which is always ridiculous or annoying as fuck in one way or another, so I'm not really expecting it to make sense in any case.

Also, I haven't been rolling for crits, partially because if I was you'd all be fucked since this thing has 40 Skill and uses weapon attacks which can crit. I might next time. The existence of crits allows me to give it a sniper weapon, after all. :D

So anyway, once you beat this guy or are about to I'll post the sheet for it, and talk about the adjustments I made to allow you guys to actually damage it. Originally it was gonna have a +2 to all speed rolls and +4 to initiative roll, but then I realized 'wait, I don't want this thing to be fucking invincible, so screw that'.

Been getting really low hit rolls that last turn though, which was fortunate for you guys since trying to dodge crowd control is a bitch. :P

How's that for a boss, tho'?

Anyone care to get a tally of total damage done in the three turns it took you guys to kill it? (to be fair, it was a glass cannon boss)

Bahamut, The Grand Hunter, Mark Ib:
Total: 180
Health - 24
Mana - 26
Speed - 25
Skill - 40
Strength - 20
Magic - 25
Defense - 10
Resistance - 10

Damage Resistance: +6, tripled for EMP weapons and the like (and they have half as much extra effectiveness(they still do, just not as much, it's shielded and whatnot)).
Capable of attacking up to twice per turn with ranged attacks and once with melee attacks.
Ranged attacks it's capable of: (ranged attacks use magic for damage roll)
-Devastation Bark: Sonic attack, large AoE, +8 to damage, stun effect
-Flak Barrage Strafe: Flak weaponry, small AoE, +6 to damage, +4 to hit; further bonuses against flying targets(can send them to the ground, x1.5 damage)
-Annihilator Beam: Laser/energy weaponry, +11 to damage, +2 to hit
-Gatling Breaker Cannon: Projectile weaponry, attacks twice(they use one dodge roll for both), +5 to damage, +1 to hit
-Offensive Teleportation Array: Teleports matter into/out of target's body, +7 to damage, scoring more than five points over target's speed roll results in critical hit, dealing +7 damage and doubling any damage achieved.
-Repulsor Field: Forcefield/Air cannon, huge AoE centered on Predator, +3 to damage, +2 to hit, pushes anything in area back and away from Predator at high speed, which can cause secondary effects

Melee attacks(use strength for damage, speed for hit rolls):
-Penetrator Rods: tail attack, +8 to damage, +1 to hit, ignores 4 points of damage reduction, has reach
-Flare Claws: claw attack, strikes twice, +4 to damage, +1 to hit
-Death Grip: bite attack, holds PC in jaws and deals damage in subsequent turns unless they escape, +6 to damage

Additional abilities: Flight, short-range teleportation, Forcefield projectors(prevents passage through or attacks, either way(for isolating prey) until destroyed or taken offline(90 HP, 3 DR) on purpose), Repairs self 3 HP per turn.
