It has a flying castle with very mean sounding cannons over it. I think the answer is the house is in no way the problem.

What? Doesn't Archon just mean 'ruler' or 'lord'? Why is the immediate conclusion that it's a magical being made out of electricity?

Because archons are often beings of electricity. And a ruler of 300 points is underwhelming.

If they're beings of electricity, why is Kyle even bothering to upgrade his armor? He could just modify a laser rifle to be high power, low duration and just force it to discharge its electricity into the path ionized by the beam.

Because taking down the three hundred stat point monster by grabbing it is much more awesome. Also, what's the likelyhood Smurf would actually make that happen?

Unlikely. It is probably self-perpetuating. Knowing Smurf, trying to grab it will result in it possessing Kyle's armor.

Well, bad news for it, there's a reason the armor has blueprints so it can be replicated.

Yeah, but Kyle would be in the armor. The armor possessed by the archon trying to kill him. It'll be like the electrical equivalent of an iron maiden.

Also, I suspect that this is the 'consequence' for Kyle's castle getting involved and that the solution to the fight involves sacrificing the castle to crush the Archon.

Probably not considering no one is dumb enough to let his armor do that. Or you know, include a button that makes the armor fall off.

So he has the Archon possess his armor, he purges the armor. What stops the Archon from just exiting the armor?

The lack of exits for electricity that don't use it up.

You are assuming that the magical aberration follows the laws of physics. If that was really the case, it would have already been absorbed by the ground seeing as it appeared as a flash of lightning.
