It's a magical girl game, why the fuck WOULDN'T it be a climactic fight?
...I don't think any of the players are well versed in the genre. Also, generally speaking, I would imagine that a magical girl game would not be populated by bitter twenty year-olds and overly immature entities of ancient origin.
I don't know, it fits the theme of Soul Eater pretty well and that's as close to a magic girl anime I can stomach.

Well, if we're going post-modern, why just that one aspect? Why not also explore the option of running away and getting other people to shoot enemies?

I am not sure how to feel about this. On one hand, one of the reasons for the reboot was so that the PCs and their homies couldn't just jump powerful entities and shiv them to death. On the other hand, the human equivalent of what the Sultanes is doing is would be attempting to conquer a planet made entirely out of ClF3, inhabited by creatures made out of ClF3 and filled entirely with ClF3 by jumping in stark naked.

Hence the emphasis of !!FUN!! for all. I'm surprised it isn't also isn't actively harming everything else in the area as well.

also, just because something is not able to tank 250 damage does not mean they are weak. that kills any PC five times over. Trust me, they are not weak. Just, the nomad would be massively unbalanced. Look at Kaisers charsheet, it sais the nomad costs 4 mana. Last time I checked 4 mana created a summon with a base stat of 50.


at max, Kaiser would be able to create a summon with 125 base stat, which would cost 10 mana and since he would have to make it permanent, would probably cost like 30 mana (permanently) to maintain. And even then, that summon would be unable to dish out a 5* damage multiplier, unless it had 24 in magic at least




also, what KJ said. It's an enormous effort to stay in creation, and they have not properly settled in yet. Right now, they are at their weakest. They will eventually get stronger

Oh, it is, especially Kaiser.

Also, that 4 mana was partial upkeep for the Nomad, the summon originally costed all his mana. CORE was sorta shouldering the burden for that, being less a summon and more of a machine. I need to start writing more clearly >.<

So they'll come back? Recurring bosses are either really good or really bad.

Um... does Kaiser even weigh more than that sword? Because if he doesn't, I think he'll end up swinging himself.

Also, Ashley only managed to survive unmurderized despite wielding an archaic melee weapon because she can teleport into it's effective range. So this looks like a lot of !!FUN!! for Kaiser...
