He was opposed to the reboot from the very beginning, hated having to restat Kyle's armor, having to submit IRIS for audit, finding out that people didn't like IRIS that much, being accused of having a Mary Sue character, having people complain about his character and generally lacking the freedom he had previously. He can't just shoot random people or move his castle anymore.
