I don't see if you do that why can't you just deliver the killing blow as well.

what do i do with the 2500 unit.dat and 1975 site.dat and 250 region_snapshot.dat and such that comes when i unzip the file

Insert everything in that file into your dwarf fortress's "Save" folder which can be found under "Data"

it should all be contained in one folder called "Region1" or whatever, something went wrong with the upload.. compress the folder into 1 archive, not all the separate files
