I wonder what percentage of people on this forum originally came here to discuss Dwarf Fortress? I've seen quite a few that say they came for something unrelated. At some point this forum stopped being "the dwarf fortress forum" and just became "bay12".

Yeah, I know that. That's where I started, but I've seen quite a few people in the lower boards say they've never played Dwarf Fortress and just came here to talk about vidya or The Homestucks or something. At some point the community reached critical mass and became a presence on the internet in its own right, separate from DF.

That's especially evident in the fact that we get spied on in online games. I mean, our Steam chat channel for a browser game with the barest bones PvP was infiltrated. There was NO advantage to getting into there, but they still did it. Then Tnx banned them.
