Bio: Saeldur was born into one of the more harsh areas of Brell, to a poor village within. The poverty of the village led Saeldur to begin hunting in a nearby wood, helping to provide food for his family an rest of the village. There was only one issue with this, and that was that the woods were “owned” by a local corrupt noble. Taking the the title of “Poacher” to heart, he soon found that he had to avoid the village, bringing only during the night, to evade being captured for his ill-gotten gains. Even a backwater village was not immune to war, and soon his village was conscripted by the noble seeking to fight for Count D'Montagner. His village all but gone, he has since wandered the land of Brell, living off the land.

Are archers always terrible? The only game i've played is Awakening, and the archer guy on that one does seem kinda rubbish compared to everyone else.

Generally archers are maligned for their lack of an ability to counter at 1 range, meaning that they often get targetted on the enemy phase. It doesn't help that archers usually aren't great in terms of stats, and bows are usually poor too. There are a few exceptions.

(Fire Emblem Gaiden was my favourite FE, archers are gr9 there with actual strength)

Radiant Dawn, Shinon etc. Good stuff.
