So I have a couple nitpicks... Like, first of all, how the fuck did Tony survive even putting the gauntlet on, let alone staying alive long enough for some last goodbyes after hitting the switch? We saw what it did to Brulk Hanner, who not only is a beefy motherfucker to begin with but is apparently "attuned" to the specific fuckery of the stones because "most of the radiation is gamma"... How is a mere human, and not only that but a mere human who doesn't even work out a whole bunch like Hawkemo and therefore probably has the worst constitution of anyone there supposed to deal with that?

Actually, for that matter, how'd they even make an infinity gauntlet? Wasn't the original a custom-made piece By Thanos For Thanos because he was pretty much the premiere authority on the stones for a while? I guess a quick theoretical prototype modeling can do about as well as the lifelong obsession of a titan, sure...

The soul stone... Really? Did those two really love each other? Didn't really seem like that much of a personal bond between them, you ask me... Maybe the riddle's just a red herring and anyone can get chucked down there, so long as it's a blood sacrifice?

Then there's the end of the movie... Why is CapAm sitting there? He didn't pop out of the time travelium device, so presumably he didn't send himself back at all and just lived naturally until that specific point in time when he remembered to come back and say hi... Except they already made it clear that you couldn't do that, going back in time would be a different reality from our own. So... What?

...where the fuck is Loki? I may have been a bit dehydrated and cramped by the end of the film, but I don't remember Loki ever showing up at the final "The whole gang's here!" battle... Which also doesn't say anything about whether or not he truly died in the last film. Not that it really matters at this point, but yeah.

And as if that weren't enough, there's now a split timeline where Loki got loose and took the tesseract with him. Uhhhh.

Main timeline Loki is ded, he died to a neck snap, not a finger snap so it wasn't undone. Alternate timeline Loki still alive and loose apparently (unless cap went back and fixed that) so that always leaves them room to bring him back in some form.
Also perfectly possible that BW and Hawkeye loved each other considering the amount of shit they've been trough and pulled each other out of. Tho I do think that it might be a red herring riddle aswell since the red skull ghost does say that it's got a nasty mind of its own apparently.
As for the gauntlet I'd say IM nanomachines son, plus any knowhow Thor/Nebula/Rocket might've provided as well as probably having the old gauntlet to work off of when they were making it. IM wearing it for like 10 seconds at the and was fine imo, thing still murdered him even if he didn't use the full power of it (compare deleting/undoing half of all life to just a handful of badguys in the immediate vicinity)
Also the whole cap thing is a bit wierdly done, tho I assumed he did in fact live in the regular timeline this whole time and just laid low the entire time (how the shield chick had him hidden is another matter tho), plus it introduces the wierdness of him dating his niece in civil war xD.

The one thing that bothered me so much it took me out of the experience, was Stark having the foresight to build the gauntlet to automagically fit any hand that tried to wear it (i.e. Hulk's.) I suppose it's like questioning the feasibility of normal humans turning into building-sized monsters in Resident Evil, but it jumped out at me.

Main timeline Loki "died", yes... Much like he's "died" to other fatal consequences before, but it was all part of the plan! And since there was an unsnapping, even if he did originally fake his death only to get caught by the 50/50 dusting, he'd be back again now anyways.

Either they just goofed and gave Loki some pretty suspect circumstances around his death (not least of which being that his illusory appearance didn't revert upon him "dying"), or he's still faffing about somewhere and has been laying low the entire time, including the final battle with Thanos. Which raises questions.

I think I'm just gonna have to go with the red-skull-herring theory that the riddle is bogus... It's entirely possible that they do have some sort of love for each other, but it's hardly who/what they love most. At least, I have a hard time thinking that a family man who went on a homicidal killing spree out of grief for his lost wife and children ackshually most-loves Ms. Spandex. Honestly, I was kinda hoping that they'd try to tag-team the ghost and sacrifice him as an embodiment of spite/vengeance... Something which both of them are deeply infatuated with.

And sure, Iron Man "only" wore the gauntlet for 10 seconds... Which, as you'll recall, was less time than it took for Hulk to overcome the pain of putting the thing on long enough to even regain control of his fingers. Nevermind that normal humans get disintegrated by directly touching a single infinity stone, and the combined power of 6 is exponentially more powerful rather than linearly... Bleh.

Also, as a friend pointed out, they sure have gotten obsessed with snapping their fingers to activate the thing. Something which was originally just a boast from Thanos about how powerful the completed gauntlet would make him, suddenly became the go-to powering sequence.


I still don't really get Cap though. I felt like it wasn't necessary for them to plop him there for exposition, since it was already pretty obvious where/what he was going to go do. I also really don't get it, because they said earlier that you can't change "our" past, the whole reason that assassinating baby-Thanos wouldn't work... Which means that he would've waited around in hiding for decades, but in a different timeline from the one that sent him back (and, confusingly, a timeline that had another version of him trapped in the ice before thawing out later down the line and, yes, dating his niece. A niece who presumably got to know his older self beforehand). Meaning he'd never be able to get back to that party we were watching, regardless of how long he waited, because it was in a different reality. BAH.


And then there's the good ol' *TINK* *TINK* *TINK* at the end of the credits, which definitely doesn't mean anything.

I've been watching a variety of movies lately. I re-watched Snatch, which is always fun. A while back I watched a film called Dead In Ten Days Or Your Money Back, that turned out to be rather good too.

I've watched a bunch of others, I'll have to give some thought as to which were most noteworthy. Right now I'm watching some weirdness called Never Let Me Go.
Not entirely sure where it's heading yet, but I reckon it'll be dark. Some creeping vibes of dystopian wrongness going on.

Even by the standards of late 90's/early 2000's chick flicks, Legally Blonde is incredibly dated. Not even in a fun or interesting way, more in a "Come on guys, really?" sort of way.

Also, a movie set in the future war of the Terminator series is a film I've always wanted to see since I was a little one watching T2 on VHS. Now that I've seen Terminator: Salvation, I am very unhappy.
