I've just spent the last several hours scrambling to double check that everything is working and patching the countless holes, so here's the very brief summary of what's what before my brain dies.

I'm aiming for sometime tomorrow between 5:00 and 6:00 PM PST (-8:00). If you can make it, let me know. Between now and then, download one of the versions (PC, Mac, or Linux; whichever works for you) as well as Hamachi (whatever the latest version is) and Skype. The link has a somewhat neutered version of the game where you can do everything except host servers, because I'd prefer to have a fresh batch of players at least once, so you can't play as all of the monsters and learn their secrets yet.

Great! The game is going to be at 5:30 PST (8:30 east coast). Turns out the maximum number of connections with the free version of Hamachi is five, so we're limited to four players for now.

Current list: Coolio, Guninanrunin, guy I know in person, and a friend of the guy I know in person.

So, assuming nothing changes with the availability of the people in the list, signups for today's game are done.

Okay, we have a problem.

Testing with Hamachi has resulted in the internet flipping us the bird. Unless someone here is a miracle worker with Hamachi and can tell me why everything I try to change a connection from relayed to direct has failed, we might have to call off today's game. Again. :/

EDIT: Yeah, this doesn't look like it's happening today.

So, here's what's happening.

It turns out I'm incompetent at getting internet things to work from my own computer, so I'm looking into remotely hosting the game by throwing money at some website until it works. I've rewritten most of the server-handling code so that it supports both independent servers and local games, and it works so far. I'll make sure it works for multiple people when remotely hosted before actually setting a date for testing, though.
