Ascii, Elite markdwarf icon is missing form status. Anywhere better to be reporting this stuff?
What exactly do you mean by that? If its the 'Z' screen that shows your dwarves, than its a vanilla bug.

Is that the old Mayday or the other common one from that era which I'm forgetting the name of? I dropped that a long time ago for reasons that should be self evident. The ore tile were way too obvious and the tileset in general game me headaches after awhile. Oh, 40d. How I don't really miss you.

thx again for adding dfmon. just tried the new version 5.07 (and before that 5.06) and wondered why there are 2 playable columns in the civilization gui? is it a bug? the description seems to be the same...?

I admit that I have the same issue, it only show 'playable' for the 2 columns, I guess the label size is too short and cause a line break.

It hasn't changed much. I'm glad Mayday did what he did all those years ago, but damn that is some major fortress mode eye bleed. If anything he got me to start looking at the raws and how to get other tilesets in. Thanks Mayday. I'm wiser to DF and my eyes no longer bleed.

Offset for embark patch not found!

Forgot to mention this. I'm getting this error when I try to run "embark -e" on dfhack. :-(
Press ALT-E instead. There are new scripts now that work with r4 and the patched exe.

Butchery fix is not yet in, I want to test it first. Welded metals have been replaced with the normal versions. So your "handmake a welded mithril katana" is now "handmake a mithril katana". It should make the game slightly harder, because these things have been going through invaders like a hot knive through butter. Which is, in all honesty, a sentence I never thought anyone would actually ever use.

Will skeletons train at all?

I had a squad with four of them set to active with a barracks, and they just stood around doing "Individual Combat Drill/Resting" for a year and didn't gain a single combat skill.
