Spoiler: Artifact (click to show/hide)

You're vaguely aware of the passage of time while in that plastic bag. It's your last day, when suddenly-
"Heh. This'll go for a lot on the market."
Since he picked you up, you are able to see through his senses. You know he's alone, so you turn the bag into gold.
"Whoa! How'd that happen?"
What do you do?
LE 1/100 indefinite.

((Can we only turn parts of things into gold? Example: turning half a table into gold instead of the whole thing. If so how detailed?))

Reveal what we are
I am quite sure that we will be able to get his attention by now

Maybe lie about who we are, or keep our identity a secret?
There aren't that many recorded norse myths. It would be easy to find out about us, and the curse we bear. Luckily, our location would work in our favour - seeing as the trade in haithabu was not limited to the baltic sea, but also was connected to the mediterrean and black sea (and thus - over other trading posts - also had access to the silk road). In quint-essence, If we want to disguise ourself as some"one" else, we could be pretty much anything...

((Well, you can turn anything into gold. That means you can turn like, 1/4 of a millimetre or so of detail, meaning that the minimum is 1/4 of a mm. This doesn't use anything, as I already mentioned  that turning 1 kg=1 LE. Anything smaller is barely noticeable.))

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You turn part of the desk into gold, spelling out 'It's the ring, you eejit!' This drains you of almost all the power you have left however. The man says
"Wait... What? A sentient ring that can turn things into gold? Shit."
What do you do?

( Out of curiosity - do we have no other ways of communication? Or should those have been included in the sheet? Else this will get very tedious, and limiting to our options of influencing the plot actively.. )

((Not sure if I mentioned this, but you can telepathically communicate with your wielder. Surprised nobody tried this, actually.))

State that, indeed, we are a sentient ring - and also one that can talk!
Amusement ensues for all! And with "all" we mean "ourself".

Claim further that we are a "Ring of Power". We may even let him guess what powers we ever could have...
Obviously we will not lay claim to the curse that is upon us. Unless "he" is a nice guy... which is to be seen

(( What is lifeforce in the context of the game? Is it just the endurance and health of the body, which regenerates itself - or is it the lifeforce of the soul itself, and thus a quite precious resource? ))

((Life force is the very essence of the soul, thereby shortening the lifespan of a wielder of an Artifact. That is why I said you have to 'trick' people into wielding you.))
