Glancing at his companions, Joe saw a small girl.  He was pretty sure that this lost child had been following and creepily staring at them ever since they left the tavern.

He addressed Adrian while surreptitiously pointing at the mute kid, his grin noticeably absent.  "Hey, don't look now but there's some creepy little girl following us.  Been following us for a while, actually.  All she does is stare.  I dont know about you, but it gives me the creeps.  Think we should do something?"

The farmer explains "Well, we're not entirely sure where it's lair is, but it seems to be in the forest surrounding our village."
As the farmer finishes, the creepy little girl says "I am The Lost. I was told that a man by the name of Adrian Flymeheart was travelling here. Which one of you is him?"

Then she reappeared off the starboard side. Pulled back on, the 12 year old formerly brown hair and gray eyes had changed to a deep blue.
The girl recounted hearing a woman singing underwater. She saw that the singer wasn't human, having a fish-like tail instead of legs. The woman swam up to her and kissed her on the lip. She then black out and recovered here.
Back on land, she discover that she could manipulate the weave, but only the water part. On her 18 birthday, she said goodbye to her birthplace and wandered the land, looking for answers about the mermaid that she could not find back home. Today is her 23 birthday.

Ignoring his misgivings, Adrian spoke. "...yeah, that's me, child. I'm Adrian Flymeheart. It's dangerous follow-on us out of town. We'll take you back, Miss, urm, Lost."
Quietly he whispered to Joe. "She's been following us? Why the gods didn't you say so earlier?"

Strange or not, she was a little child, and it wasn't safe for her out of town, though his hackles were raised.
