Joe sets aside his axe, and assists in building the camp as necessary.

Joe grinned at Adrian.  "I won't have to hire a lass to attend to me-- they'll come swooning to meet a handsome ex-adventurer like myself!  As for the bedpan, I figure there's plenty of down on their luck nobles desperate for coin to handle that instead!"

"But enough about my beautiful, no doubt bedpan-laden future.  What are you going to do with the money?"

You better hope they don't swoon, my friend, because old crones like you'll get might break a hip!
Adrian grinned back. He liked this Joe fellow. So many he met on the road didn't have a sense of humour.
A warhorse might be useful... else it's going back into the old money reserve for when my father dies. I can set up a mercenary group or somesuch. I might hire you - someone needs to polish the weapons!

"Well, to each their own.  I prefer women myself, but if you like horses, who am I to judge?  Just make sure you do it far from town: I think they have laws about that!"  Joe had to admit this fellow was pretty amusing.  A noble with a sense of humor!  Was the end near?

That reminded him.  "This Lost ghost... do you trust it?"  Joe certainly didn't.  As a general rule, he was slow to trust creepy otherworldly spirits.

He shrugged. If she wanted me dead, she would have attacked before I knew she was there. If this is a trick, it's an odd one.
