hello. my baron went mad after a short time. i'Ve read in the wiki, that in this case it is impossible to get new baron and other nobles. my question - is there some cheat or script to get the new baron?

IIRC, DFHack can remove the insanity.

(If you do, I recommend that you also clear all bad thoughts from him too, or he will promptly go bonkers again.)

To clarify a little on the last post: no, there's no way to get another one in .34.11.  It's probably possible to do it with DFHack, but there are no built in scripts or tools for that to my knowledge, and I don't know how to do it manually.  It might be worth asking about it in the DFHack thread in the modding section if you're interested.

The next version of the game has succession of nobles as a major feature, but saves from the current version aren't going to work in it.
