Jason:Shaking his head, Matthew looked at Jason sadly.
"You have a pretty screwed up idea of a test then. If any of those men are dead, it's on your head. Not ours."
:
"My men knew what they were getting themselves into. They wouldn't have come with me, and they wouldn't have fought if they did not have the same resolve as I have. As for those who are dead... It will be made known that they died nobly without fear." ---
Orpheus:Isteus finally met with the group, having made sure that he didn't kill the pegasus rider (wouldn't want her to gain honor from a death in combat, after all) and to make sure they didn't leave anyone behind. The olive skinned man touched down with the group, thumping his chest once in salute to the winged Heron.
"The fight is ours! You don't disappoint, Orpheus, and I'm sure there are only greater trials ahead." The winged man said with a confidence and an eagerness. What Orpheus decided to do with the rest of the enemies wasn't the man's concern, seeing as they surrendered.
The bravery and valor of the Hawk was a comforting sight for Orpheus, who smiled vaguely.
:
"Heh heh. Yes. Perhaps I shall need to devise a song about this when our journey is complete."---
The Soldiers:
For the large part, it was only those who were involved in the first encounter that had received the worst of it. When tensions were hottest, so were the wounds. All three of the first fighters, including Protopappas died by dark magic. An archer was found with a nasty, and ultimately fatal lance wound drawn in from behind. One of the Pegasus Riders had died when her head struck a wayward rock.
But aside from these tragedies, the rest would likely live; although they would likely be limping and nursing their broken noses for the next few weeks. It was a small miracle that a large portion of the rest of the defending force had managed to avoid major injury. Wilson had another wound however. The priest had overheard Nynaeve and huffed unhappily. He wasn't fat. He was just... Fluffy. Yes. Fluffy because of his robes.
