The card game where you write the rules

Sign-ups now Wait List open for a card-playing game where you build the rules of the game as the game goes along. You start with five cards to create and everyone plays a card a round. Turns can be taken in any order, but everyone can only play one turn a round. Win conditions are created by playing cards with new win conditions on. A player only wins if they're still winning after a full round has passed.

Previous game here. The rulkes are the same in this game except for the fact that the draw deck has existing cards as well as blank cards in, and players draw their starting hand from the draw deck.

Spoiler: 12 Rules (click to show/hide)

1. Each player begins with five blank white cards, they may create five cards when they begin the game. These cards are shuffled in with existing cards and equal parts blank cards to create the draw deck. At the beginning of the game, each card is given 5 cards from this draw deck to make their starting hand.
2. Each turn after the first round a player draws the top card from the draw deck. On their turn they can make one card out of any blank card they have in their hand and play one card.
3. Each player takes one turn a round.
4. A round ends when all players have taken their turn.
5. Provisional win conditions to the game can be created with new rules; non-provisional win conditions can't be created.
6. If a player provisionally wins and everyone else in the game takes a turn afterwards and that player is still provisionally winning, then they win the game.
7. Each turn you may create a card and play a card.
8. Whatever a card says becomes a rule.
9. All card rules remain active indefinitely unless they say otherwise.
10. The rules on a card have to be clear and specific and not require any one player's interpretation otherwise they can be ignored. They are allowed to require interpretation from the mod (NQT).
11. The card creation rules must be followed for a card to be valid.
12. These 12 rules cannot be superceded by later rules.

Each card must have:
- A name, in bold.
- A single rule to follow, non italicised.
- Some kind of border (like a horizontal rule) marking about where the card begins and ends.

Cards without a name or a rule or cards with multiple rules are not allowed.

Optional: flavour text in italic, a small picture.

If a player ever has no cards, they provisionally win.

And Another Thing!

Whoever plays this card gets to play as many cards as they like on their turn.

Poodle Ascendancy
The only cards that have rules that should be followed are cards with the word 'Poodle' in the title.

And Another Thing! doesn't contradict Rule 2, as it works in addition to and not as opposed to #2.

Example Play
Player 1 could play And Another Thing and then immediately play I Started Out With Nothing (and all the other cards in their hand). This would mean that they'll win if these cards are still active after every other player has taken a turn. Player 2 could then invalidate these cards by playing Poodle Ascendancy and on it would continue...

Clarification on 'you': if a card says 'you' (e.g "You may destroy a card of your choosing"), it refers to the person who plays the card.

Questions and clarifications are welcomed before the game begins. The game will begin when all five players have submitted their initial five cards to me. Then I'll shuffle them up with the other cards to create a draw deck and I'll assign out people's starting hands and we can start.

Wait, do we keep the cards we write for round one, or do we shuffle all our invented cards together and draw?

They're all shuffled in before the initial draw. So if you give yourself insta-win combo cards to start with, it's likely some will end up in the hands of others.

You'll still draw blank cards throughout the game and it's quite likely you'll get blank cards in your starting hand.
