Rolled for GUNIN, 7.

27 wolf
15 Dagran
11 Kyle
7 Talc
6 Cantup
3 Fist

Fist is in the doorway, in front of everybody else. The wolf is twenty feet from him, straight out. It reacts immediately, (Natural 20, perfect.) running up to Fist and trying to bite him [15 altogether], but Fist's defenses are greater.

(do we roll our attacks?) Cantup throws his daggers at the skeleton wolf.

Switching his quarterstaff to a two hand grip, Dargran hits the wolf with an overhand strike, and then whips the opposite end of the staff back up, hitting it again.

(do we roll our attacks?)
Same question. If so, (first attack 3+2-2=3, damage 6+2=8), (second attack 9+2-2=9, damage 4+1=5)

Unless it has negative AC modifiers, I don't think I hit it.

(Not at the moment.)

Dagran misses with both hits.

Kyle's turning is ineffective.

* The dagger flies at the wolf!

* The dagger hits the wolf in the upper body, chipping the bone!

The wolf seems slightly fazed by the attack, but not much.

(I don't think you can attack yet, Shadowhammer. I'm still in the way. Just delay your turn till I get out of the way.)

Five foot step, getting out of the way of my party members.
Full attack, using Scorpion's Grasp to start a grapple.

Flurry of Blows on the full attack.

((Technically, he ran up past you and is now next to the wolf.))

* Fist grabs the Wolf Skeleton by the head with his right upper arm!

* Fist punches the Wolf Skeleton in the head, shattering the bone!

* Wolf Skeleton has been struck down.

VICTORY! 60 xp for all.

(Erm, I kinda forgot GUNIN hadn't posted. Assume that Talc had accidentally been in the back of the party and couldn't get up front.)

Fist discovers a small chest full of 130 gold coins jammed in the wolf's skull.

The (now empty) room contains a wooden door to the north, a wooden door to the west, a wooden door leading to the south, an archway leading south, and an archway leading west. There seem to be strange clacking noises coming from the western archway. The room contains a fountain on the west wall and a small engraving on the east.

"Ready yourselves, I think we should investigate the noise and possibly make it go away." Cantup takes his dagger that was thrown previously.

He looks down the west hallway, without getting too close, and tells Silfr to guard his back as he turns away to inspect the engraving on the east wall.
Spot and search check.
Silfr! Watch Silfr!

Dargran looks closely at the engraving on the east wall, both due to curiosity about the subject matter, and checking for unusual stonework that would indicate that this engraving is hiding something.
Search check, aided by stonecunning, and if it appears magical, spellcraft check.

This is a fine engraving of a fire rune. The fire rune is existing. This relates to the engraving of fire runes by Wizard McVandal in an unknown year in the Old Prison of Sto'bar.

Kyle casts detect magic.
The magic fizzles out as a result of what expert scientists call a "natural one".

You do so.

Rune. Fire rune. Magic. Fire good. Forges. Magma.
Spellcraft check (+4): how would I activate this rune, and what would happen if I did?
